    Abstract: PURPOSE: To eliminate influence due to electric osmotic flow(EOF) by reducing a cross section of a capillary, forming the cross section into a rectangular, and generating a regulatable hydrostatic velocity component in the reverse direction. CONSTITUTION: A cross section, which is formed into a rectangle whose ratio of a maximum inside width to a maximum inside height is 5 to 1 at least, of a capillary 10 is reduced, and an EOF cross section is gradually brought close to a laminar flow and changed into a parabola shape. On the other hand, a pressure, which presses back an analyzed object 17 in the direction toward an injection end part 12 of the capillary 10, is fed to buffer liquid 16 by pressurizing an outlet storage device 20 by means of a pressure pump 28. This reverse flow generates an accurate parabola type velocity profile inside the circular/rectangular capillary 10. Then, this pressurization is regulated so as to be provided with at least 50% of the intensity of the EOF velocity profile in the normal direction, and a reverse directional hydrostatic velocity component provided with a hydrostatic velocity profile in the opposite direction to this profile is generated, and EOF can be reduced by means of this hydrostatic velocity component.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To protect a reaction apparatus in succession to a mixing apparatus against excessive heat generated at the time of oxidation and to enable high- temp. operation by providing this reaction apparatus with a central zone having a first packing material and a peripheral zone having a second packing material. CONSTITUTION: The reaction apparatus 4 succeeding to the mixing apparatus 3 has the central zone having at least one packing material suitable for delineating the multiple spaces having passages having a size at least equal to the distance for wedging off the flame generated at the time of oxidation of charge raw material and at least one peripheral zone having at least one second packing material suitable for delineating the multiple spaces having the passages having the size smaller than the size of the passages of the central zone. The pressure drop of the second packing material is larger than the pressure drop of the first packing material. The second packing material forms a sleeve 10 enclosing the first packing material. This sleeve 10 is manufactured by at least one refractory and heat insulating material. Consequently, the reaction apparatus is protected against the excessive heat generated at the time of the oxidation and the high-temp. operation is made possible.
