    Abstract: A method and a device for continuous or semi-continuous casting of metal, where hot melt is supplied to a cooled continuous casting mold and the melt is cooled and formed to a at least partly solidified strand as it passes through the mold. An inductive coil is arranged at the top end of the mold to, when supplied with an alternating electric high frequency current, generate a high frequency magnetic field to act upon the melt in the mold, whereby heat is developed in the melt and compressive forces acting to separate the melt from the mold wall are generated. The coil is supplied with the high frequency current from a power supply unit with a current control to supply an alternating electric high frequency current having a base frequency of 50 Hz or more to the inductive coil. The current control has modulation means for modulating and controlling the supplied current is controlled in a pulsed, amplitude modulated manner with an amplitude modulated modulation frequency of 10 Hz. or less, whereby essentially full amplitude of the amplitude modulated current is achieved within a rise time corresponding to 1 cycle of the base frequency or less at the start of a pulse.

    Abstract: In an apparatus for control of controller equipment for damping power oscillations in a power line, the controller equipment is serially connected between a first connection point and a second connection point in the power line in an electric network for alternating current. The controller equipment is adapted to serially generate in the power line, dependent on a control order, a damping voltage for damping power oscillations in the power line. Controlling equipment receives sensed quantities of the power network and forms a phase deviation dependent on these quantities. The phase deviation is the difference between a phase angle of a first voltage at the first connection point and a phase angle of a second voltage at the second connection point. The controlling equipment forms the control order dependent on the time rate of change of a function of the phase deviation. The control order controls the controller equipment to generate the damping voltage which feeds an active power in the power line counteracting changes in active power in the power line which are associated with power oscillations.

    Abstract: In order to make switchgear equipped with a busbar system for high voltages/current strengths less space-consuming, and to simplify the jointing and connection of the busbars and therewith also simplify manufacture and assembly of the busbar system, the busbars of the system have been given the form of tubes. A tubular cylindrical busbar is jointed/connected with the aid of a conductive contact element (9) in the form of a ring-shaped coil spring located between the insertion end (6) of one tube and an insertion end (7) of an adjacent tube. As the insertion end carrying the spring is inserted into a receiving end of an adjacent tube when joining two tubes together, the spring is compressed and remains compressed while exerting a pressure and holding force on the two tube ends. The voltage and current through tubular busbars that have been jointed with the aid of the springs are affected minimally by the springs, because each turn of the coil spring provides several points of contact with each tube end, therewith providing essentially loss-free electrical transmission.

    Abstract: A method for control of the movement of the movement of an industrial robot along a given track (P1-P4) with a desired track speed (v), which industrial robot has a number of movement axes and for each axis servo equipment for control of the axis movement in accordance with reference values ({overscore (&tgr;)}korr) supplied thereto. First, those axis angles ({overscore (phi)}i) which are needed for assuming the next position on the track are calculated. In dependence on the calculated axis angles and a first mathematical model, which describes the static and dynamic properties of the robot, for each one of the movement axes that torque ({overscore (&tgr;)}=(&tgr;1, &tgr;2 . . . &tgr;6)) is calculated which is required for assuming the next position. The load (t) is calculated at one or more mechanically critical points for the calculated axis angles ({overscore (phi)}i) with the aid of a second mathematical model, which describes the load of the robot at the critical points. For each one of the axes, the calculated torque ({overscore (&tgr;)}) is compared with a maximum permissible torque, ({overscore (&tgr;)}max), and the load (t) is compared with a maximum permissible load (tmax) for the critical point. If the calculated torque exceeds the maximum permissible torque for any axis, or if the calculated load exceeds the maximum permissible load for any critical point, then the track speed (v) is reduced and the reference values for the servo system {overscore (&tgr;)}korr=(&tgr;korr1, &tgr;korr2 . . . &tgr;korr6, are calculated in dependence on the reduced track speed.
