Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the present invention that is related generally to the field of orthodontics, and more particularly to a system and a method for gradually repositioning teeth.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a system, a device and a computer-implementable method for aligning a teeth computer model. According to one embodiment, the method includes following steps of: preparing a teeth arch form (482) indicative of teeth arrangement; arranging a plurality of teeth (484A)-(484C) according to the teeth arch form; determining a distance difference (488A) between each tooth and the adjacent tooth; and moving each tooth according to the distance difference.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthodontic system and related methods for designing and providing an improved or more effective tooth moving system for eliciting a desired tooth movement and/or repositioning teeth into a desired arrangement.SOLUTION: An orthodontic system includes a tooth attachment having improved or optimized parameters selected or modified for more optimal and/or effective application of forces for a desired/selected orthodontic movement. The attachment of the present invention can be customized to a particular patient (e.g., patient-customized), a particular movement, and/or a sub-group or sub-set of a patient, and configured to engage an orthodontic tooth positioning appliance worn by a patient. The engagement between the attachment and the orthodontic appliance results in application of a repositioning force or series/system of forces to the tooth having the attachment and will generally elicit a tooth movement.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental procedure for a prosthesis and orthodontics.SOLUTION: A system and a method comprise: a development of treatment planning for attaining a treatment goal including creation of a virtual model of a tooth row of a dental patient S10; deformation of the virtual model of the tooth row using a virtual prosthesis for promoting attainment of the treatment goal S12; deformation of the virtual model of the tooth row using a virtual orthodontics for promoting the attainment of the treatment goal S14; repetition of the deformation procedure till substantially attaining the treatment goal; and creation of orthodontic treatment planning and prosthesis treatment planning on the basis of the substantially attained treatment goal.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for optimizing dental aligner geometry.SOLUTION: A method and system for establishing an initial position of a tooth, determining a target position of the tooth in a treatment plan, calculating a movement vector associated with the tooth movement from the initial position to the target position, determining a plurality of components corresponding to the movement vector, and determining a corresponding one or more positions of a respective one or more attachment devices relative to a surface plane of the tooth such that the one or more attachment devices engage with a dental appliance are provided.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods for treatment planning and progress tracking.SOLUTION: The present invention provides the systems and methods of managing planning and delivery of an orthodontic treatment using planning tools, treatment guidelines, instructions and appointment planning tools customized to the individual patient being treated, as well as tools and methods for tracking delivery and patient progression through an orthodontic treatment plan. Treatment can be planned proactively or pre-planned for administration to a patient in a series of one or more phases, with at least some of the phases including a set of appliances that are worn successively by the patient to reposition the teeth through pre-planned arrangements and eventually toward a selected final arrangement.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preferred system and method for changing a modulus instrument.SOLUTION: Provided are an improved device, system, and method for relocation of the tooth from an initial tooth composition to a final tooth composition. Relocation is achieved by the system that includes a series of polymer shell instruments 100 composed to receive the tooth, and gradually relocate individual teeth in a sequence of steps. Each of the instruments is formed of layers 110, 111 having different rigidities (elastic moduli). The rigidity of continuous instruments is allowed to be either different or the same.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved device, system and method for repositioning teeth from an initial tooth arrangement to a final tooth arrangement.SOLUTION: There are provided an improved device, system and method for repositioning teeth from an initial tooth arrangement to a final tooth arrangement. Repositioning is accomplished with a system comprising a series of polymeric shell appliances (100) configured to receive the teeth (115) and incrementally reposition individual teeth in a series of successive steps. The individual appliances may be formed from layers (110, 111) having different stiffness (elastic moduli), and the stiffness of successive appliances may be different, or the same.
