Abstract:
An alphanumeric keyboard for use with a host computer is disclosed the alphanumeric keyboard has a plurality of alphanumeric keys; and a sound reproducing system. The sound reproducing system includes a data processor for controlling operating functions of the sound reproducing system; and an audio processor for receiving at least one of a plurality of audio input and providing at least one analog audio output. There is also a keyboard controller for sensing use of one or more of the plurality of alphanumeric keys and passing of keyboard scan code to the host computer. The keyboard controller further enables the use of predetermined keys of the plurality of alphanumeric keys for providing user input to the control of the operating function. A connection to the host computer provides a first of a plurality of digital audio inputs; a multi-channel digital audio input/output connection provides a second of the plurality of digital audio inputs; and a MIDI input/output connection provides digital data to be converted to digital audio to provide a third of the plurality of digital audio inputs.
Abstract:
A system and method for preserving the natural sound of a signal that is processed by an analysis step of converting the signal into a sequence of overlapping windowed DFT representations [202] and a synthesis step of converting these DFT representations back to a time domain signal [214]. For example, the system and method are applicable to analysis-synthesis systems based on a sequence of overlapping windowed, DFT representations in which either: (1) the analysis transforms overlapping time by a different amount than the synthesis transforms, or (2) the modification involves a remapping of transform values from one frequency location to another. The phases of the complex-valued DFT representations may be modified so that synthesis of the time domain signal results in a natural sound [212] despite the effects, of e.g., either (1) or (2).
Abstract:
An Artificial Intelligence (AI) unit is configured to receive as input: digital copies of past advertisements, and data of their performance results; as well as brand guidelines and a creative brief for automatic generation of a new advertisement. The AI unit generates a set of advertisement elements, such as logo, headline, a sub-headline, call-to-action, legal content, and an image; based on analysis of the input and detection that these particular advertisement elements correspond to previous performance results that are beyond a pre-defined threshold. An automatic advertisement generation unit generates a new advertisement by digitally placing the set of advertisement elements onto a canvas. Optionally, the system automatically generates on-the-fly in real-time a user-tailored advertisement, that is based on analysis of past performance of advertisements that were shown by the same advertiser to this particular end- user.
Abstract:
There is provided a method for optimizing user workout based on audio feedback provided to a user. The method can include providing an input module for the user to input reference data, collecting biometric data associated with the user, comparing the collected biometric data and the reference data, and varying one of beat rate and rhythm of the audio feedback based on the comparison between the collected biometric data and the reference data. User workout can be optimized by manner of user controlling workout pace in accordance with variance in either beat rate or rhythm of the audio feedback provided to the user.
Abstract:
A headphone is provided. The headphone can include an enclosure having a surface. A continuous groove can be defined on the surface. The continuous groove can be shaped and dimensioned so that at least one perforation can be defined along the continuous groove. The continuous groove can be further shaped and dimensioned so as to be capable of carrying a detachable auxiliary portion. The at least one perforation can allow an air passage to be formed between the outside of the enclosure and a chamber defined within the enclosure. When the continuous groove carries the detachable auxiliary portion, air passage between the chamber and outside of the enclosure is blocked.
Abstract:
A system and method are disclosed for effective and simple stereo widening over arbitrarily-configured speakers and its real-time implementation. According to one embodiment, the system includes five processing units: (1) elevation processing unit; (2) side signal or difference signal processing unit; (3) center signal processing unit; (4) binaural signal processing unit; and (5) stereo limiter (to prevent the clipping) unit. Any of the five processing units may be included or omitted depending on the application. In general, embodiments of the present invention provide effective and simple stereo widening schemes with good audio quality results, but without having substantial requirements on the speakers' positional configuration. For example, the proposed schemes can apply to both symmetric and non-symmetric stereo loudspeakers.
Abstract:
A new and more efficient filtering system (e.g., digital microphone decimation filter architecture system) is described. A key to this architecture is the use of two parallel filter paths. Each path operates at the output sample rate, and comprises a shorter FIR filter followed by a series of allpass stages (e.g., implementing IIR filters). The FIR filter is designed to remove all but the last octave of out-of-band noise. The allpass stages are designed such that when the two paths are summed together, the out-of-band noise for the final octave cancels out, leaving only the desired sign
Abstract:
An electronic reader device configured to receive at least one set of source data for processing in a manner so as to display at least one electronic reading material. The electronic reader device includes a processing portion and a display portion coupled to the processing portion. The processing portion can be configured to process at least one set of source data in a manner so as to produce graphic data. Graphic data can be communicated to the display portion which can be configured to display graphic data as display data in a stereoscopic display mode. The display data can correspond to a graphic representation. In the stereoscopic display mode, the graphic representation is associable with a three dimensional imaging based graphic representation such that the display data correspond to a graphic representation where at least one portion of the at least one electronic reading material is visually perceivable to be projecting from the display portion.
