Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet a need existing for more environmentally friendly, or "green" AC compositions that work just as well antimicrobial as organic acid based AC compositions, but without the negative environmental side effects.SOLUTION: The present invention generally relates to an improved two-part oxidizing system, as well as oxidizing compositions and methods for making and using the same, and in a particular embodiment to a two-part oxidizing system that, when mixed, yields an oxidizing composition. The two-part oxidizing system includes a metal chlorite first part and an acid second part where the acid is sodium acid sulfate or a derivative thereof.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sulfoperoxycarboxylic acid compounds and compositions which are storage stable and water soluble and have low to no odor while posessing both an antimicrobial effect and a bleaching effect.SOLUTION: The invention relates to new sulfoperoxycarboxylic acid compounds, compositions, and methods for making and using them. The sulfoperoxycarboxylic compounds are storage stable, water soluble and have low to no odor. Further, the compounds is derived from non-petroleum based renewable oils. The compositions can be used as antimicrobials, and bleaching agents. The compounds are also suitable for use as coupling agents.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that microemulsions exhibiting stability in a very narrow temperature range tend to become unstable under low temperature and high temperature conditions often encountered when shipping product or storing product in a warehouse.SOLUTION: The invention relates to microemulsion compositions containing water, a mixture of nonionic surfactants, and oil. The microemulsion provides for the removal of hydrophobic particularly oily soils from a variety of surfaces. The compositions can be used for cleaning hard surfaces and the laundry, hand washing, and car washing. Typical hydrophobic soils are oily soils derived from petroleum oils or natural fats and oils also containing a significant proportion of particulate soils such as carbon, common dirt and other non-water-soluble typically hydrophobic soil particulate. The microemulsion composition can include a separating medium such as an amphoteric surfactant for controlling the conditions under which the microemulsion is separated.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve long standing problems relating to instability of organic materials in alkaline detergents, including the reversion or hydrolysis of condensed phosphate sequestrants in alkaline solid detergent compositions. SOLUTION: The problems can be alleviated by the use of an organic composition having vicinal hydroxyls. Such a solid block detergent can be manufactured by a process in which a source of alkalinity, a functional material including a condensed phosphate sequestering agent, an organic compound having two vicinal hydroxyl groups, are combined in a pourable composition or liquid. Such a liquid can be introduced into a plastic capsule and solidified. During manufacture and solidification, we have found that the vicinal hydroxyl compound prevents substantial hydrolysis or reversion of the condensed phosphate maintaining effective hardness ion sequestration during the use of the detergent. The stabilizer can also stabilize color, chlorine content and dispensing properties. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a dispensing process by adjusting future dispense cycles, accurately dispensing the ingredient, and predicting an amount of ingredient to be dispensed. SOLUTION: A method of dispensing a requested amount of an ingredient, includes the steps of: dispensing the ingredient based on a factor affecting a dispensed amount of the ingredient; determining the dispensed amount of the ingredient; and adjusting the factor for a subsequent dispense cycle using a comparison between the requested amount and the dispensed amount. The factor includes a predetermined amount of time to dispense the ingredient, and a pumping speed of a pump or a speed of dispenser used to dispense the ingredient, and the factor is adjusted upward or downward. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a better antibacterial composition which is added to water used for washing or processing poultry. SOLUTION: By using a composition containing peroxyacetic acid and peroxyoctanoic acid after it is added to water for washing poultry, it is possible to effectively diminish microbial contamination on the poultry. The composition has high antibacterial effect and is safe for humans and the environment. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible container for dispensing ready-to-use pesticide composition. SOLUTION: The flexible container for dispensing the ready-to-use pesticide composition utilizes a flexible package 18 filled with a semi-solid flowable ready-to-use pesticide composition 12 which may be manually gripped, oriented proximate a pesticide application area, and squeezed to controllably dispense the ready-to-use pesticide composition through an opening or dispensing port 30 in the flexible package18. Dispensing of the pesticide composition 12 may be performed by a single hand with controlled and discrete product placement, thereby permitting pesticide composition to be applied in difficult to reach areas such as dark and cramped cracks and crevices. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition for tableware, which can reasonably give a stabilized solid product having an equal deterging power to a caustic detergent without practically corroding metals by forming a solid containing sodium carbonate, an alkali metal silicate salt composition, a metal ion sequestering agent, a surfactant packaging and other optional ingredients. SOLUTION: The composition contains: (a) about 10-80 wt.% of Na 2 CO 3 ; (b) an alkali metal silicate salt having the ratio about 1:1-1:5 for M 2 O:SiO 2 ; (c) an effective amount of a metal ion sequestering agent for a hard water component (hardnnes) comprising an organic phosphonate salt; a binder containing sodium carbonate anhydride; sodium carbonate hydrate and an organic phosphonate salt and substantially no second alkali source. After removal of a packaging 12, the product 10 reveals a solid block 11, which is used in the form of a solid. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
