A receiving system and a data processing method are disclosed. The receiving system includes a receiving unit, a demodulator (170), a first handler (211), a second handler (212), and a third handler (213). The receiving unit receives a broadcast signal comprising fast information channel (FIC) data, transmission parameter channel (TPC) data, and mobile service data packetized into an RS frame. The demodulator (130) demodulates the broadcast signal. The first handler (211) configures an esemble from RS frame, so as to acquire first signaling information including access information of the mobile service. The second handler (212) receives second signaling information of the mobile service, so as to acquire content identification information of a second data type from the received second signaling information. And, the third handler (213) extracts a mobile service identifier and a content identifier of a first data type from the first signaling information and constructs content identification information of a second data type.

An audio signal encoding method is disclosed. The audio signal encoding method includes the steps of: converting an input audio signal into a frequency-domain signal; extracting semantic information from the audio signal; reconstructing a sub-band variably by dividing or combining at least one sub-band provided in the audio signal on the basis of the extracted semantic information; and generating a quantized bit stream by calculating a quantization step size and a scale factor with regard to the reconstructed sub-band.

A data processing method of a digital broadcasting receiver comprises receiving a mobile/handheld (MH) broadcasting signal including mobile service data and main service data; generating RS(Reed-Solomon) frames from the received MH broadcasting signal; extracting ESG(electronic service guide) data from the generated RS frame; extracting SDP(session description protocol) data from the extracted ESG data; checking a port number corresponding to subtitle having reference information, among the extracted SDP data; and controlling the subtitle having reference information using the checked port number so that the subtitle having reference information is displayed.

Apparatus and method for real-time determination of radar cross sections is disclosed using interleaved gridding. Radar cross section calculations are amenable to an implementation on parallel processors wherein the shooting window is subdivided into smaller areal units that are assigned to the parallel processors in an alternating fashion, such that the calculations performed by a single processor are not localized to a single area of the shooting window. As further disclosed, the shooting and bouncing ray technique for calculating radar cross sections is implemented using the apparatus and method disclosed herein.

The reception system includes a baseband processor receiving a broadcasting signal including mobile service data and main service data, the mobile service data including first service data and second service data having a format different from that of the first service data, the second service data configuring a Reed Solomon (RS) frame, and the RS frame including a table which describes the second service data having the format different from that of the first service data and signaling information including conditional access information of the second service data, a table handler parsing the table from the RS frame and extracting the signaling information of the second service data, the extracted signaling information including conditional access information of the second service data in the RS frame, a frame handler extracting the second service data from the RS frame on the basis of the extracted signaling information, a conditional access handler releasing the conditional access of the extracted second service data on the basis of the conditional access information of the extracted signaling information, and a service handler parsing the second service data of which the conditional access is released. A management processor checks a TP header contained in the RS frame, and identifies which data is contained in the RS frame. MH presentation processor displays the data contained in the RS frame.
