    Abstract: High activity olefin polymerization catalysts based on organolithium compounds and transition metal compounds are disclosed. In one catalyst system an organolithium compound is employed in combination with titanium tetrachloride and the Li/Ti ratio is in the range of about 20 to about 50. In another catalyst system the organo lithium compound is combined with a rare earth metal halide. For best results these catalyst systems are employed at pressures of at least about 100 psi. In ethylene polymerization an ethylene partial pressure of at least about 100 psi is preferred.

    Abstract: This invention provides a nozzle for discharging a relatively small amount of a metals passivating agent into a catalytic cracking unit at a relatively high velocity through a relatively large diameter opening. This invention further provides a process for discharging a relatively small amount of a metals passivating agent into a high-temperature zone of a catalytic cracking unit, wherein the temperature range of the high-temperature zone exceeds the melting point of the particular passivating agent, through the utilization of a metals passivating agent injection nozzle which disperses the passivating agent, prior to discharging the agent into a catalytic cracking system, and accelerates this dispersed metals passivating agent to a maximum discharge velocity by injecting a dispersing agent into the novel nozzle at a location behind that at which the passivating agent is injected, and then discharging the dispersed metals passivating agent at a relatively high velocity through a passage having a relatively large inside diameter.

    Abstract: An improved method of manufacture of a nonwoven fabric wherein a nonwoven fabric web is passed through a needle punching zone wherein the nonwoven fabric web is needle punched in such a manner that the number of needle punches per unit area in the edge portions of the nonwoven fabric web is less than the number of needle punches per unit area in the medial portion of the nonwoven fabric web, and the thus needled nonwoven fabric web is passed through a tentering zone wherein it is stretched transversely relative to its direction of movement to thereby reduce the weight per unit area of the edge portions to approximately the weight per unit area of the medical portion so that a nonwoven fabric or substantially uniform thickness and weight per unit area is produced. Also disclosed is apparatus comprising a needle punching machine with a needle board having a plurality of needles extending outwardly therefrom toward the nonwoven fabric web and arranged such that there are more needles per unit area adjacent the medial portion of the nonwoven fabric web than there are needles per unit area adjacent the edge portions of the nonwoven fabric web, and further including a tenter frame.

Component A is obtained by mixing a magnesium dihydrocarbyloxide compound with a tetravalent, halogenated titanium compound and then contacting the resultant product with a dihydrocarbylmagnesium compound. Component B comprises a metallic hydride or an organometallic compound, e.g., an organoaluminum compound.
