    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a time delay integration (TDI) sensor using a rolling shutter. The TDI sensor includes two pixel arrays each having multiple pixel columns. Each pixel column includes multiple pixels arranged in an along-track direction, wherein two adjacent pixels or two adjacent pixel groups in every pixel column have a separation space therebetween. The separation space is equal to a pixel height multiplied by a time ratio of a line time difference of the rolling shutter and a frame period, or equal to a summation of at least one pixel height and a multiplication of the pixel height by a time ratio of the line time difference and the frame period. The TDI sensor doubles a number of times of integrating pixel data corresponding to the same position of a scene by arranging two separately operated pixel arrays.

    Abstract: An optical sensing system and an optical sensing method are provided. The system includes a bright-field light source, a dark-field light source, an optical detecting circuit, and a processing circuit. The processing circuit performs a floor type detection process, including: controlling the dark-field light source to provide dark-field illumination; receiving, by the optical detecting circuit, scattered lights of the dark-field light source; executing a dark-field computation process to obtain a first optical characteristic, and determining whether the first optical characteristic meets a first surface condition; in the negative, determining that a floor is a first type; in the affirmative, controlling the bright-field light source to provide bright-field illumination; receiving, by the optical detecting circuit, scattered lights of the bright-field light source; executing a bright-field computation process to obtain a second optical characteristic, and determining whether the second optical characteristic meets a second surface condition.

    Abstract: A multiple detection system is applied to a vehicle and includes a contact-type detection module adapted to generate a contact-type detection datum, a contactless-type detection module adapted to generate a contactless-type detection datum, and an operation processor electrically connected with the contact-type detection module and the contactless-type detection module in a wire manner or in a wireless manner. The operation processor sets at least one of the contact-type detection datum and the contactless-type detection datum according to an environmental status of the vehicle to be a main detection result of the multiple detection system, and further sets the other detection datum to be an auxiliary detection result of the multiple detection system, for acquiring a passenger feature inside the vehicle.

    Abstract: There is provided a physiological detection device for detecting physiological signals via a skin surface and including a first light source, a second light source, a first light sensor, a second light sensor and a processor. The first light source emits light via an optical element that causes the first light sensor and the second light sensor to receive different percentages of light energy of the first light source. The first light sensor and the second light sensor receive the same percentage of light energy of the second light source. The processor adjusts emission intensity of the first light source according to an intensity difference between two light energies received by the first and second light sensors as well as an intensity variation of light energy received by the first light sensor to alleviate motion artifacts in the physiological signals.

    Abstract: A game board device is provided for carrying and identifying game pieces that are divided into different piece types. The game board device includes a board, a plurality of optically identifying modules, and a processing module electrically coupled to the optically identifying modules. The optically identifying modules respectively correspond in position to detection regions of the board. Each of the optically identifying modules includes a light emitter that can emit light toward the corresponding detection region and a light receiver that can receive light reflected by the corresponding detection region. When any one of the detection regions is in an unoccupied mode, the corresponding optically identifying module can emit an unoccupied signal. When any one of the detection regions is in an occupied mode, the corresponding optically identifying module enables an identification signal that corresponds to the piece type of the corresponding game piece to be emitted therefrom.
