    Abstract: An optical device includes: a first connector for a first optical fiber that transmits a first laser beam from a first laser source; a second connector for a second optical fiber that transmits a second laser beam from a second laser source; and one or more optical elements that direct the first laser beam from the first connector to a first beam collimator and direct the second laser beam from the second connector to the first beam collimator, wherein, the first beam collimator: produces a first collimated beam based on the first laser beam, directs the first collimated beam to a laser-scanning device, produces a second collimated beam based on the second laser beam, and directs the second collimated beam to the laser-scanning device.

Vaccine refrigeration storage must maintain consistent temperatures between −58 degrees Fahrenheit and 5 degrees Fahrenheit. The invention utilizes temperature variation moderating heat reservoirs consisting of high specific or latent heat capacity materials to significantly reduce the cycle temperature variation while maintaining the ability to successfully defrost the freezer.

    Abstract: A particulate feeding apparatus for applying particulate, such as super-absorbent materials, to a substrate, such as a fibrous web. A feeder tube for the powder and a rotary gate valve, including one or more holes is provided. This structure may then intermittently feed particulate to an eductor or venturi nozzle. The rotary valve provides an intermittent supply of particulate to a relatively low-pressure zone at the nozzle formed by the venturi action of the passing air stream and the particulate may be distributed precisely where desired. A process for delivering powder to a substrate in precise amounts and distribution patterns is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A pressure differential indicator that eliminates the risk of providing a false positive due to fluid contamination. The invention has an electrically insulated barrier between the “hot” pin and the grounded housing without the need for a hermetic seal. The indicator can be manufactured at a greater efficiency and lower cost than is found with prior art pressure differential indicators. It has a piston that can be easily oriented to yield either a normally closed or normally open position. The indicator has at least one protrusion on a plastic overmold to engage the swage collar and resist axial rotation of the pin. A pressure seal interrupting the plastic overmold sections and exposing the underlying metal to allow for an O-ring seal with no potential leak path between plastic and metal. Finally, the pressure differential indicator has all moving components contained within a single cavity.
