Abstract: In an embodiment, a driver-scoring device detects harsh events performed by an operator of a vehicle driven a number of distance units by the operator during a first period of time. Each of the detected harsh events has a respective g-force exceeding a threshold g-force. The driver-scoring device determines a penalty score including a ratio of a harsh-event score added to a sum of respective event-penalty scores for each of the detected harsh events to a metric score parameter. The harsh-event score includes a ratio of a number of the detected harsh events to the number of distance units driven by the operator during the first period of time. The respective event-penalty score for each of the detected harsh events includes a respective ratio of a penalty factor associated with the detected harsh event to the number of distance units driven by the operator during the first period of time.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a virtual vehicle fleet are provided. One embodiment of a method includes creating a virtual vehicle, where the virtual vehicle provides a telematics service and replicating the virtual vehicle to create the virtual vehicle fleet, where the virtual vehicle fleet includes a plurality of virtual vehicles. Some embodiments include simulating use of the telematics service by at least a portion of the virtual vehicle fleet, determining a response characteristic of the simulated telematics service used by the virtual vehicle fleet, and providing data related to the response characteristic for output.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a system for managing a virtual vehicle includes one or more processors, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that cause the one or more processors to receive a vehicle identification number of a physical vehicle, and generate a non-fungible token for the physical vehicle on a blockchain. The non-fungible token provides a virtual vehicle corresponding to the physical vehicle. The virtual vehicle is renderable in a virtual environment. The instructions further cause the processors to monitor one or more vehicle registration systems for a change in a title of the physical vehicle using the vehicle identification number, and when a change in the title of the physical vehicle is determined, determine a new owner of the physical vehicle and record a new owner name of the new owner of the physical vehicle on the blockchain to transfer ownership of the virtual vehicle to the new owner.
