CONSTITUTION: An anthracene derivative is marked with chemical formula 1. Abstract: An organic electroluminescent device is provided to exhibit a very good drive life due to excellent luminous efficiency and life characteristic of an organic electroluminescent compound. An organic electroluminescent device has an organic material layer interposed between a positive electrode and a negative electrode on a substrate. The organic material layer comprises at least one organic electroluminescent compound represented by the following formula 1 as a host.
