Abstract: 본 고안은 편심 자전거에 관한 것으로 더욱 상세하게는 자전거의 바퀴 중 특히 뒷 바퀴의 회전축이 편심되게 되어 있고, 편심된 바퀴에 밸런서가 구비되어 있는 편심 자전거에 관한 것이다.
전체적인 구조적인 형상을 유지하도록 내부가 통공된 파이프로 이루어지고,'▽' 형상을 이룬 본체 프레임과; 일측은 상기 본체 프레임의 전면 상부에 좌우 회동되도록 결합되고, 상기 본체 프레임과 결합되지 않은 다른 일측에는 손잡이가 형성되어 있는, 'T'형으로 형성된 자전거 손잡이와; 상기 본체 프레임의 전면 하부에 상기 자전거 손잡이와 연동하여 좌우 회동되도록 결합되고, 하단은 '∩'자 형의 포크 형상으로 이루어져 있는 포크와; 상기 포크의 '∩'자 사이에 삽입 결합되고, 회전축을 중심으로 자유롭게 회전하도록 형성된 자전거 앞바퀴와; 상기 본체 프레임의 후면 하단에 결합되고, 회전축을 중심으로 자유롭게 회전하도록 형성된 자전거 뒷바퀴와; 상기 본체 프레임의 중심 하단부에 삽입 결합되어 축회전할 수 있도록 베어링 결합된 페달축과; 상기 본체 프레임을 사이에 두고 상기 페달축의 좌우 양측에 서로 반대방향으로 결합되어 발로 눌러 상기 페달축을 회전시킬 수 있도록 'Ｌ' 형상으로 이루어진 페달과; 상기 페달과 함께 회전할 수 있도록 상기 페달축에 결합되고, 원주상으로 치차가 형성된 원판형의 체인 휠과; 상기 자전거 뒷바퀴의 회전축에 결합되어 상기 자전거 뒷바퀴에 회전력을 전달할 수 있도록 원주상에 치차가 형성되어 있는 후륜 스프로켓과; 상기 후륜 스프로켓과 상기 체인 휠을 연결 하여 발로 발로 밟아 발생하는 회전력을 뒷바퀴에 전달하는 체인과; 상기 본체 프레임의 후부 상단에 결합되어 사용자가 않아서 편안하게 페달을 밟을 수 있도록 하는 안장과; 상기 뒤바퀴에 부착되고, 상기 뒷바퀴의 편심된 반대편에 부착되어 상기 뒷바퀴의 편심에 의해 발생하는 회전력을 상쇄하도록 부착된 밸런스;를 포함하여 이루어진다.
본 고안에 의한 밸런스가 구비된 편심 자전거는 사용자의 주행에 따라 승마에서와 같이 상하 운동을 하게 되고, 이러한 상하 운동이 신체 내장 기능을 활성화시켜 내부 장기의 기능을 건강하게 유지할 수 있으며, 편심 회전에 따른 운동량의 증가로 짧은 시간에 많은 유산소 운동 효과와 함께 온몸 운동 효과를 얻을 수 있으며, 또한, 밸런서에 의해 자전거의 정지시, 뒤바퀴의 회전축이 지면 가까이로 회전할려고 하는 회전력을 상쇄시켜 자전거의 안정성을 높이는 효과가 있다.
