Abstract: An apparatus and a method for receiving DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) signals in a portable terminal device are provided to receive DMB signals according to channels, thereby allowing a user to watch DMB of all channels. An auto-matching unit(180) resonates in a frequency band corresponding to a selected channel. A DMB receiving unit(170) outputs a DMB signal corresponding to the selected channel through the frequency band. A controller(110) controls the operations of the auto-matching unit(180) and the DMB receiving unit(170). The auto-matching unit(180) includes a constant inductor and a variable capacitor. The auto-matching unit(180) is installed at a matching end of a portable terminal device.
