Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for assigning an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) server IP address is provided to inform a terminal that a proxy server IP address is usable through an ACK(Acknowledgement) signal from a PDSN(Packet Data Serving Node), thereby enabling the terminal to search an IP address of a proxy SIP server when located in an external network. CONSTITUTION: A UAC(User Agent Server)(210) using an SIP transmits an IPCP(Internet Protocol Control Protocol) request message by loading an IP address of a proxy SIP server(410). A PDSN(220) transmits an NAK(Negative Acknowledgement) signal to the UAC(210) by responding to the IPCP request message, and transmits IP addresses of a primary proxy SIP server and a secondary proxy SIP server(420). The UAC(210) selects one of the transmitted IP addresses(430). The UAC(210) retransmits an IPCP configure request message(440). The PDSN(220) transmits an IPCP ACK message, and permits usage of the IP address of the proxy SIP server(450).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for authentication between a mobile terminal and a home agent in a radio communication system is provided to generate dynamically FA-HA authentication shared key by using 'S' as a predetermined number. CONSTITUTION: An MN(100) transmits a registration request message to an FA(110)(201). The FA(110) transmits an access request to an AAAF(130)(202). The AAAF(130) transmits the access request to an AAAH(140)(203). The AAAH(140) generates 'S' and timestamp in response to the access request of the AAAF(130)(204). The AAAH(140) generates an FA-HA authentication shared key by inputting the 'S', the timestamp, and other elements into hashing algorithm. The FA-HA authentication shared key and the timestamp are transmitted to the FA(110) through the AAAF(130)(204,205). The FA(110) transmits a mobile IP registration message to HA(120)(206). The HA(120) confirms the 'S' related to the FA(110). The HA(120) requests a new 'S' and receives new 'S' from the AAAH(140) if there is not the 'S' related to the FA(110)(207,208). The HA(120) processes the message and transmits the mobile IP registration response message to the MN(100)(209,210).
