Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for improving quality of a multimedia streaming service based on a hypertext transfer protocol are provided to rapidly output first screen in a low speed beginning environment using a preview method. CONSTITUTION: The priority information and range information of media are recorded in a media technical engineer file. The priority information of the NAL unit header is recorded in the media technical engineer file. Data is re-constructed according to the priority of media. The range information of the re- constructed stream is recorded in the media technical engineer file. A preview screen is provided to users since the media technical engineer file is partially transmittable. The partial transmission and reception of a single media stream piece is performed using a media technical engineer file.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and a system for providing a rich media scene adaptive description service are provided to reduce the time and calculation amount taken for the procedure for inspecting a variable by integrating the performance elements of a terminal into one variable set. In addition, the server adds the performance request condition set to the rich media data. The terminal receives the rich media data from the server, and detects the performance elements which satisfy the condition included in the performance request condition set among the performance elements included in the performance element set.
