Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for initializing reception of a broadcasting signal in a digital broadcasting system. The present specification discloses an apparatus for initializing reception of a broadcasting signal. The apparatus includes: a broadcast program receiving unit which receives a broadcast program including at least one of a video signal and an audio signal from a broadcasting station; a function control unit which turn on or off the broadcast program receiving unit and controls the volume of a sound unit; an initializing unit which controls the broadcast program receiving unit to automatically set a channel of a program preset by a user, when the broadcast program receiving unit is turned on; a display unit which outputs the video signal; and the sound unit which outputs the audio signal. Therefore, a user can select a channel well by allowing a DTV receiver to switch into a channel of a predetermined broadcast program automatically or forcibly when the DTV receiver is turned on.

본 발명은, 디지털 방송을 위한 전송 시스템에서 전송 프레임의 앞부분에 프레임 헤더 정보를 추가하여 시간적으로 서로 다른 전송 프레임에 서로 다른 전송모드, 변조 레벨, 계층 변조, 에러 정정 부호 등을 정할 수 있는 디지털 방송 신호의 전송 방법, 전송 장치, 수신 방법, 수신 장치 및 이의 전송 프레임 구조에 관한 것이다. 전송 프레임 구조는, 전송 프레임의 다중화 정보를 포함하는 프레임 헤더; 및 상기 전송 프레임이 제공하는 서비스에 대한 데이터 정보를 포함하는 프레임 바디를 포함한다. 또한, 상기 프레임 헤더는, 상기 전송 프레임의 시작 위치를 추출하기 위한 동기 신호 정보를 포함하는 프레임 동기신호부; 및 상기 전송 프레임이 포함하고 있는 데이터의 다중화 정보―상기 전송 프레임이 포함하고 있는 데이터의 전송 모드, 변조 레벨, 계층 변조, 에러 정정 부호의 정보―를 포함하는 프레임 정보부를 포함할 수 있다.

지상파 DTV 방송 및 부가데이터를 위한 다중 안테나 전송 장치 및 그 방법이 개시된다. 지상파 DTV 방송 신호의 기저대역에서 삽입된 부가데이터를 다수의 송신 안테나를 사용하여 전송하기 위해 기저대역에서 부가데이터 신호를 시공간 부호화 혹은 시공간 다중화하여 변조 전에 기저대역 DTV 방송 신호와 결합함으로써 기존의 지상파 DTV 방송 수신기의 성능에 큰 영향을 미치지 않으면서 부가데이터의 전송 효율을 증대시킬 수 있다.

PURPOSE: A transmission method of digital broadcast signals, a transmission device, a reception method, a reception device, and a transmission frame structure thereof provide a single consistent transmission frame structure supporting various transmission modes, thereby providing various forms of services to a user. CONSTITUTION: A stream providing unit (100) converts service components of each program into streams. A multiplexing unit (200) modulates the streams into a predetermined mode according to a transmission mode. A transmission frame generator (300) generates a transmission frame based on the stream information allocated to each sub-channel and the multiplexing information due to the transmission mode. The transmission frame includes a frame body including the data information in respect to the services provided by the transmission frame and a frame header including the multiplexing information of the transmission frame. PURPOSE: A channel estimation device and a method thereof are provided to reduce influence based on a small channel tap by applying a weight value to an estimated channel coefficient. CONSTITUTION: A first channel response estimation unit(110) estimates a first channel impulse response from a reception signal. A weight calculation unit(120) determines a weight value applied to each channel coefficient by using the first channel impulse response. A second channel response estimation unit(130) estimates second channel impulse response by applying the weight value to the first channel impulse response. PURPOSE: A broadcast data transceiving method in a digital broadcast system and a device thereof are provided to obtain additional transmission capacity while maintaining reverse-compatibility with an ATSC mode. CONSTITUTION: A detector(362) determines whether a level of a main data symbol belongs to a first group. When the level of the main data symbol belongs to the first group, a mapping unit(366) maps the main data symbol in an extension level using a modulation value of additional data. When the level of the main data symbol belongs to a second group, a bypass unit(364) maintains the level of the main data symbol.

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting/receiving a broadcast signal in a digital broadcasting system and a device thereof are provided to efficiently transmit additional data while the device maintains compatibility with an existing digital broadcasting system. CONSTITUTION: A main signal generating unit(802) generates a main signal using main data. First to N additional signal generating units(804,806) generate an additional signal with lower power than the main signal using additional data. An additional signal frame generating unit(812) uses an additional signal frame using the additional signal and a frame header. A broadcast signal generating unit(814) generates the broadcast signal using the main signal and the additional signal frame.
