Abstract:
Polymerizable compositions comprising a redox initiator system is disclosed. The redox initiators comprises a photolabile reducing agent, that photolyzes and initiates the redox cycle. Dental compositions comprising dental resins and the photolabile redox initiator system are also described.
Abstract:
Curable adhesive compositions are provided that can be cured using ultraviolet or visible light radiation. These curable adhesive compositions, which contain a curable (meth)acrylate copolymer, have a creep compliance that is less than 5(10−4) inverse Pascals at 25° C., a creep compliance that is greater than 1(10−3) inverse Pascals at 70° C., and a shear storage modulus greater than 40 kiloPascals when measured at 25° C. at a frequency of 1 radian/second.
Abstract:
Pressure sensitive adhesives having flame retarding properties include a (meth)acrylate-based block copolymer, and at least 10% by weight of a halogen-free flame retarding agent. The adhesives may contain additional optional additives such as tackifying resins, plasticizers, and the like. The adhesives are prepared by blending the (meth)acrylate-based block copolymer, and the halogen-free flame retarding agent either in solvent or by a solventless process.
Abstract:
The disclosure describes a curable composition comprising a) a solute (meth)acryloyl oligomer having a plurality of pendent, ethylenically unsaturated, free-radically polymerizable functional groups and nucleophilic, hydrophilic groups, a Mw of 5 k to 30 k, a Tg
Abstract:
Disclosed are copolymers which comprise: a) an isobutylene copolymer having grafted polymer groups, b) optionally a tackifier, and c) optionally a non-functionalized poly(isobutylene) polymer. The compositions are useful in adhesives and coatings.
Abstract:
A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprises a polyvinyl ether polymer. The polyvinyl ether polymer comprises 2-alkylalkoxyethylene monomeric units independently represented by the formula wherein R1 and R2 represent alkyl groups, and wherein taken together R1 and R2 have from 8 to 30 carbon atoms. An adhesive article comprises a layer of the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition on a substrate.
Abstract:
The disclosure describes a curable composition comprising a first oligomer having a plurality of polymerizable groups; a second component comprising alkylene oxide repeat units and terminal polymerizable groups, a solvent monomer component; and a photoinitiator. The curable composition may be used as an adhesive in optical applications.
