Abstract: A UE may transmit a message comprising information regarding one or more physical random access channel (PRACH) capabilities of the UE to a base station (BS). The UE may then receive, from the BS, signaling comprising an indication of one or more configured PRACH formats supporting the one or more PRACH capabilities. Next, the UE may transmit, using the one or more configured PRACH formats, one or more preambles to the BS in a random access (RACH) procedure. Accordingly, the UE may receive a random access response (RAR) from the base station and further, in response to receiving the RAR, establish a connection with the BS.

Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein use channel state information (CSI) reports from a user equipment (UE) having additional CSI beyond CSI directly derived according to a current MIMO configuration between a base station and the UE. In some embodiments, a channel quality indicator (CQI) according to a selected layer of a plurality of layers used to receive the MIMO transmission as determined relative to the MIMO transmission is reported. In some embodiments, a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) according to a selected layer of a plurality of layers useable to receive rank 1 transmissions is reported along with a CQI determined according to that layer, or according to a layer used to receive the MIMO transmission as determined relative to the MIMO transmission. In some embodiments, a base station configures a UE to report more fulsome CSI according to each of a plurality of ranks.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) communicates with transmission-reception points (TRPs). When the UE generates uplink control information (UCI), it determines a higher layer index (HLI) value to target the UCI to the appropriate TRP. (Possible values of the HLI are associated with the TRPs.) Abstract: A user equipment for cross-division duplex (XDD) operations comprises circuitry configured to perform operations for determining a transmission direction for a slot of a frame structure as being an uplink (UL) slot or a downlink (DL) slot operating in XDD mode based on scheduling data from a base station. The UE is configured to receive scheduling data indicating a switching gap of the frame structure for switching from DL to UL transmission, determine that the switching gap is smaller than a threshold value to cause a collision between UL transmission and DL reception for a slot, and resolve the collision based on the UL transmission and the DL reception.
