Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to propylene-ethylene copolymers comprising an ethylene content of 0.1-10% by weight, a molecular weight distribution (MWD), expressed in terms of Mw/Mn, of greater than 3.0 and a xylene soluble (XS) fraction content defined by values that fall below the line given by the equation XS=1.0296·e0.435C2. The propylene-ethylene copolymers advantageously exhibit high transparency and low melting temperatures.
Abstract:
Catalysts systems for the polymerization of olefins CH 2 =CHR, wherein R is an alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl radical having 1-12 carbon atoms, comprising (A) a solid catalyst component comprising Ti, Mg, and halogen (B) an aluminum alkyl compound and (C) a halogenated cyclic ether compound show improved polymerization activity.
Abstract:
A solid catalyst component for the polymerization of olefins comprising Mg, Ti, Cl and at least an electron donor compound which is the reaction product obtained by bringing into contact a Mg compound and a Ti compound having at least a Ti-halogen bond with an electron donor selected from specific diphenol derivatives.
Abstract:
Catalyst precursors comprising Mg, Ti, OMe and OR groups that are in molar ratios defined by the formula MgTin(OMe)(p)(OR)x in which n is from 0.1 to 1, p is ≥(2+4n), x is from 0 to 1 and R is C2- C15 hydrocarbon groups can be easily transformed, with high yields, in solid catalyst components to be advantageously used in the polymerization of both ethylene and alpha olefins.
Abstract:
Catalyst precursors comprising Mg, Cl, Ti, and OR groups that are in molar ratios defined by the formula MgClnTip(OR)(2-n)+4p in which n is from 0.3 to less than 1.7, p is lower than 0.6, the molar ratio (OR)/Cl is lower than 4 and R is Cl -C15 hydrocarbon groups. The said precursor, just upon activation with organo-Al compounds, are able to advantageously polymerize ethylene and alpha olefins, and that upon reaction with halogenating compounds generate in high yields catalyst components with high polymerization activity particularly in the polymerization of propylene also in combination with 1,3-diethers.
Abstract:
Catalyst components for the(co)polymerization of ethylene comprising Ti, Mg, halogen, ORI groups, where RI is a C1-C12 hydrocarbon group optionally containing heteroatoms, having ORI/Ti molar ratio in the range 0.1-1.5, a Mg/Ti molar ratio of less than 8, an amount of titanium, with respect to the total weight of said solid catalyst component, higher than 4% by weight characterized by a specific SS-NMR pattern are particularly useful for preparing narrow MWD crystalline ethylene polymers.
