A hot melt adhesive polyolefin composition comprising a high melt flow butene-1 copolymer suitable to be used as a glue in paper and packaging industry, in furniture manufacture e.g. for edgebands, particularly square edges and softforming, for paneling in high moisture environments, particularly suitable for acting as a glue in tufted or needle punched carpets.

Composition comprising (A) from 30 to 60 by weight, of a soft polyolefin composition comprising, 10-50% by weight of a copolymer (a) of propylene, which copolymer contains from 1 to 8% of comonomer content; 50-90wt% of a copolymer (b) of ethylene and other alpha-olefin(s), containing from 57 to 80% of ethylene; wherein the weight ratio of the content of copolymer component (b) to the fraction XS soluble in xylene at room temperature (about 25 °C), both (b and XS) referred to the total weight of (a) + (b), is of 1.5 or less, and the intrinsic viscosity [·] of the said XS fraction is of 3 dl/g or more; and the total quantity of copolymerized ethylene is preferably from 30% to 65% by weight; (B) from 5 to 30wt% of a glass fiber filler; (C) from 0 to 5 % by weight of a compatibilizer; (D) from 10 to 40 by weight of a polypropylene component selected from propylene homopolymers, propylene copolymers containing up to 5% by moles of ethylene and/or C 4 -C 10 ±-olefin(s) and combinations of such homopolymers and copolymers, wherein the Melt Flow Rate, of the polypropylene component D) is generally from 0.3 to 2500 g/10 min.

Extruded or molded profiles comprising a polyolefin composition consisting of 85% by weight or more of a copolymer of 1-butene with ethylene (A) having an ethylene copolymerized content up to 18 % bymol, and having Mw/Mn lower than 3, hardness shore A (measured according to ISO 868) lower than 90, no melting point (TmII) detectable at the DSC after cancelling the thermal history, melting enthalpy (ΔHf), measured by DSC after 10 days of aging at room temperature,comprised between 4 and 15 J/g; and up to 15% by weight of a propylene copolymer or a composition of copolymers of propylene (B) having a melting point from about 26°C to 200°C, isotactic index greater than 90%.

A cross-linked composition obtained by cross-linking a polyolefin composition (I) comprising, all percentages being by weight: A) from 5 to 38% of a polypropylene; B) from 35 to 85% of a copolymer of ethylene with propylene, containing from 42 to 70% of ethylene and having solubility in xylene at room temperature greater than 50%; C) from 5 to 40% of a butene-1 homopolymer or copolymer having: a content of butene-1 derived units of 75% or more; a flexural modulus of 100 MPa or less; and optionally, D) from 5 to 35% of one or more polymers different from B) in composition, having a Shore A hardness value equal to or lower than 90 points, wherein the content of butene-1, if present, is of less than 50%; in which composition (I) the amounts of A), B), C) and D) are referred to the total weight of A)+B)+C) and optionally D), and when D) is present, the total weight of C)+D) is of 50% or less, referred to the total weight of A)+B)+C)+D).

An oriented monolayer or multilayer film, wherein the monolayer film comprises a copolymer (A1) of propylene with hexene-1 containing from 4 to 10% by weight of hexene-1 and having MFR from 0.5 to 10 g/10 min., and the multilayer film comprises at least 30% by weight of said copolymer (A1), both the monolayer and the multilayer film being obtainable with a process comprising a drawing step wherein the film is drawn with a draw ratio of at least 3, in at least one direction.

A polypropylene composition comprising: A) from 30% to 90% by weight of a propylene polymer composition comprising: a1) from 20% to 90% of a propylene homopolymer, or a copoloymer of propylene containing 3% or less of derived units of ethylene or C 4 -C 10 α-olefin(s) or of combinations thereof, said homopolymer or copolymer having a content of isotactic pentads (mmmm), measured by 13 C NMR on the fraction insoluble in xylene at 25 °C, higher than 96; a2) from 10% to 80%, of a copolymer of ethylene containing from 40% to 70% of derived units of propylene or C 4 -C 10 α-olefin(s) or of combinations thereof; B) from 10% to 70% by weight of a multimodal ethylene copolymer wherein the comonomer is selected from the derived units of alpha olefins of formula CH 2 =CHT wherein T is a C 3 -C 10 alkyl group; having the following properties: i) density (with ISO 1183) comprised in the range from 0.850 to 0.935 g/cm 3 ; ii) total comonomer content ranging from 6% to 30% by weight; iii) content of 1-butene derived units ranging from 0 to 2% by weight; iv) Mw/Mn comprised from 4 to 20; v) intrinsic viscosity (decalin at 135°C as determined according to EN IS0 1628-312003) comprised between 1.0 and 4.0 dL/g, and C) from 0 to 50 % by weight; preferably from 0 to 20% of a filler.
