    Abstract: PURPOSE:To independently execute reception and transmission actions by providing a transmission means transmitting graphic information to the 1st communication line through the 1st network control means and a reception means receiving graphic information from the 2nd communication line through the 2nd network control means. CONSTITUTION:When a call signal is present from a circuit TL 2 through a circuit TL 1 at the time of facsimile reception, the circuit TL 2 is connected to a MODEM 12 through an NCU 31, and a CPU 1 executes a facsimile communication procedure with an opposite party. At that time, the name and other data on the opposite party are stored in a RAM 3. If the opposite party wants poling, the CPU 1 continues poling as it is. If the opposite party wants facsimile transmission, the CPU 1 causes the NCU 31 to release the circuit TL 2, after which the CPU 1 transmits the data on the opposite party stored in the RAM 3 to an operational panel 32 through an I/O port 6, and causes a display to display that a reception call is present on the control circuit. Thus, through the use of an idle circuit, the reception action and the transmission one can be done independently.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To use a pattern except for a character as an abbreviated name of a user by providing a pattern forming means for forming a prescribed pattern one picture element by one picture element and a non-volatile memory for storing the formed pattern by respective switches on a control panel. CONSTITUTION:A UPI 12 carries out a detection of a key on the control panel and a control display and a UP 19 controls to drive an original or a recording paper. A CP 111 controls an operation of a recording system and a PP 110 inputs and outputs the data of a reading system. By a PP 16, PP 17, the control of an NCU (control unit) is performed. On the control panel, keys 23 such as a stop/clear, a start and display keys (LED) 24 indicating a function, a manual reception are disposed. A sub CPU 12 is connected to a main controlling CPU 12 and processes the information indicating which of the keys 23 is pressed or which of the LEDs 24 lights. Thereby, by using the switch on the control panel, the user character can be registered one picture element by one picture element.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain conversation regardless of communication modes, by providing a means which detects that a transmitting side wants to make ordinary conversation when receiving side facsimile equipment is set to an automatic reception mode. CONSTITUTION:When facsimile equipment receives a call signal from a telephone circuit (W) under a condition where the equipment is set to an automatic reception mode, a main power supply device 27 is actuated and a CPU 2 starts control. Then the circuit is switched from the telephone set to the facsimile and a called station discriminating signal is sent from a MODEM 14 to the circuit (W). Thereafter, sending of G2 discriminating signal and detecting operation of the G2 instruction signal of the calling side are repeated. While the G2 instruction signal is detected, a loudspeaker 19 is connected so that it can be driven by the circuit W. Therefore, talking becomes possible when the switch is changed to a telephone set 28 on the receiving side, since the voices are outputted from the loudspeaker 19 if the calling side wants to make talking with the receiving side.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the transmission time at the transmission side and also the write time at the reception side, by transmitting a skip signal equivalent to a half the line number continuing full white state from the transmission side, and shifting a recording paper for the width corresponding to the distance at the reception side. CONSTITUTION:Picture information habing a width (d) read at a solid-state scanning element 12 is stored in buffer memories 13, 14. The data stored in the buffer memories 13, 14 is rearranged at each one line toward the main scanning direction at a first data rearragement circuit 15 and stored in the 1st memory 16. Whether or not black information is included at a each line is detected at a full white signal detection circuit 17, and when full white signal lines are consecutive, a gate circuit 32 is closed when a half the consecutive lines is counted. As a result, full white signals (a) being a half the entire lines only are inputted to a modulation circuit 19 via the gate 32, and the circuit 19 transmits skip signals to a transmission line 20.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform a highly efficient facsimile transmission, by discriminating the unnecessary information for the black dots existing on a scanning line in such a small number that can be recognized as the unnecesssry black information and transmitting the skip signal instead of the picture signal after recognizing all picture signals as white ones. CONSTITUTION:A rearranging circuit 15 doubles a full white detecting circuit and receives the data from buffer memories 13 and 14. Then the circuit 15 feeds the data which are rearranged to obtain a reading unit in the subscanning direction to a memory 16 and at the same time checks whether or not the black information is contained in the picture data corresponding to the reading width (d). Then the full white signal (a) is delivered to an inverter 17 in case the black information is not contained at all and in case the small black information is included at an area in the width (d). When the signal (a) is delivered, a gate circuit 18 is closed. Thus the data in the memory 16 is not fed to a modulating circuit 19.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide color facsimile equipment simplified in constitution by preventing an output image from being deteriorated essenstially by performing the JPEG encoding of image data setting only the high-order four bits of raw image data as effective and outputting it to an image data transmitting/receiving means. CONSTITUTION:Raw color image data read by the reading element 10a of an image reading part 10 is inputted to an edge emphasizing IC 19 on a four bit bus setting only the four bits as effective, and required processing is applied to it, and it is inputted to a DSP part 17 equipped with an IC by which JPEG encoding/decoding is performed. Also, an SRAM part 20 connected to the edge emphasizing IC 19 is constituted so as to store data in unit of four bits. By employing such constitution, it is enough to perform the JPEG encoding setting only the high-order four bits of the raw image data of colors R, G and B by a JPEG encoder means, which simplifies the constitution more than that of the encoder circuit of a conventional device of eight bits.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a color facsimile equipment capable of simply checking a color tone on an original image by adjusting the tones of an untransmitted picture and a received picture and displaying a color picture on a screen. CONSTITUTION:The color facsimile equipment is provided with operation keys 40 consisting of various keys, light emitting diodes 42 for displaying selecting states or the like and a color liquid crystal display device 44 for displaying a color-adjusted original image as a color picture. After initializing, whether operation requires user's tone adjustment or not is checked. When the tone adjustment is required, an original image is displayed on the upper part of a display screen on the device 44 and a tone adjusting operation picture is displayed on the lower part of the screen and returned. When tone adjustment is not required, the original image is displayed on the whole display screen of the device 44 and returned. Thus the tone of a display color for an objective picture is adjusted before transmission or printing and the adjusted result can be checked on a screen.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the facsimile equipment in which a compression rate of image data is improved by coding the picture data while separating a color image area and a black/white image area. CONSTITUTION:A read/recording section 18 reads a transmission original and stores the read image data to an image memory RAM 3. When the processing by one page is finished, a color image area and a black/white image area is separated and a hierarchical coding/decoding section 4 conducts coding processing by one page (including black/white image block and color image block). For example, the color image area and the black/white image area are separated in a form of cutting off an original laterally and they are respectively coded. The compression rate of the image data is improved by conducting the coding while the color image area and the black/white image area are separated and the communication time is reduced.
