Abstract: Systems, apparatuses and methods may provide for technology that adjusts, via a short-term subsystem, a communications parameter for one or more of wireless communication devices based on data from one or more of a plurality of sensors. The technology may also determine, via a neural network, a prediction of future performance of the wireless network based on a state of the network environment, wherein the state of the network environment includes information from the short-term subsystem and location information about the wireless communication devices and other objects in the environment, and determine a change in network configuration to improve a quality of communications in the wireless network based on the prediction of future performance of the wireless network. The technology may further generate generic path loss models based on time-stamped RSSI maps and record a sequence of events that cause a significant drop in RSSI to determine a change in network configuration.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses and methods may provide for technology that obtains categorization information and corresponding uncertainty information from a perception subsystem, wherein the categorization information and the corresponding uncertainty information are to be associated with an object in an environment. The technology may also determine whether the corresponding uncertainty information satisfies one or more relevance criteria, and automatically control the perception subsystem to increase an accuracy in one or more subsequent categorizations of the object if the corresponding uncertainty information satisfies the one or more relevance criteria. In one example, determining whether the corresponding uncertainty information satisfies the relevance criteria includes taking a plurality of samples from the categorization information and the corresponding uncertainty information, generating a plurality of actuation plans based on the plurality of samples, and determining a safety deviation across the plurality of actuation plans, wherein the relevance criteria are satisfied if the safety deviation exceeds a threshold.

Abstract: An apparatus comprising a memory to store an observed trajectory of a pedestrian, the observed trajectory comprising a plurality of observed locations of the pedestrian over a first plurality of timesteps; and a processor to generate a predicted trajectory of the pedestrian, the predicted trajectory comprising a plurality of predicted locations of the pedestrian over the first plurality of timesteps and over a second plurality of timesteps occurring after the first plurality of timesteps; determine a likelihood of the predicted trajectory based on a comparison of the plurality of predicted locations of the pedestrian over the first plurality of timesteps and the plurality of observed locations of the pedestrian over the first plurality of timesteps; and responsive to the determined likelihood of the predicted trajectory, provide information associated with the predicted trajectory to a vehicle to warn the vehicle of a potential collision with the pedestrian.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed for object manipulation via action sequence optimization. An example method disclosed herein includes determining an initial state of a scene, generating a first action phase sequence to transform the initial state of the scene to a solution state of the scene by selecting a plurality of action phases based on action phase probabilities, determining whether a first simulated outcome of executing the first action phase sequence satisfies an acceptability criterion and, when the first simulated outcome does not satisfy the acceptability criterion, calculating a first cost function output based on a difference between the first simulated outcome and the solution state of the scene, the first cost function output utilized to generate updated action phase probabilities.

Abstract: Technologies for thermal enhanced semantic segmentation include a computing device having a visible light camera and an infrared camera. The computing device receives a visible light image of a scene from the visible light camera and an infrared image of the scene from the infrared camera. The computing device registers the infrared image to the visible light image to generate a registered image. Registering the infrared image may include increasing resolution of the infrared image. The computing device generates a thermal boundary saliency image based on the registered infrared image. The computing device may generate the thermal boundary saliency image by applying a Gabor jet convolution to the registered infrared image. The computing device performs semantic segmentation on the visible light image, the registered infrared image, and the thermal boundary saliency image to generate a pixelwise semantic classification of the scene. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
