Las uniones roscadas de tipo junta radial para tubos de acero aún pueden ser mejoradas en cuanto a asegurar la hermeticidad en términos de la rigidez del extremo macho. En forma específica, la superficie circunferencial externa de la nariz 8 del extremo macho 3 tiene una forma curva convexa hacia afuera, y la superficie de sello del extremo hembra 1 tiene una forma ahusada; y la superficie transversal del extremo macho 3 en el punto de sello sp que es una porción en la superficie circunferencial externa de la nariz 8 del extremo macho 3, estando la porción primero en contracto con la superficie de sello del extremo hembra 1 cuando se enrosca, es 35% o más de la superficie transversal de una porción de tubo original correspondiente a una porción sin procesar.

Juntas roscadas de tipo de sello radial para tuberías de acero tienen todavía un margen de mejora para asegurar la capacidad de sellado en términos de la rigidez de la nariz de extremo macho. Específicamente, la superficie circunferencial externa de la nariz 8 del extremo macho 3 tiene una forma curvada convexa hacia el exterior, y la superficie de sellado de la unión hembra 1 tiene una forma ahusada; y el área de sección transversal del extremo macho 3 en un punto de sello sp que es una porción en la superficie circunferencial externa de la nariz 8 del extremo macho 3, la porción que primero entra en contacto con la superficie de sellado de la unión hembra 1 cuando se une de forma roscada, es 35 % o más del área de sección transversal de una porción de tubería original correspondiente a una porción no procesada.

A tube with a high dimensional accuracy manufacturable at low cost and havin g sufficient fatigue strength throughout the wide range of size requirement of the tube and a method of manufacturing the tube. With a plug (1) inserted in to a metal tube (5), the metal tube (5) is pushed and passed through the hole o f a die (2) for pushing-out. Thus, the pushed-out tube with the high dimension al accuracy in which one or more of an outer diameter deviation, inner diameter deviation, and circumferential wall thickness deviation are 3.0% or less can be provided.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw joint for pipe that is suitable for connection of steel pipes such as an oil well pipe, a riser pipe and a line pipe, and is excellent in sealability, compression resistance performance and galling resistance performance.SOLUTION: An outer peripheral surface part to be a seal part 21 on the side of a pin 3 is a convex surface 10 that is a rotation locus around a shaft of a convex arc 9 to be an arc existing in a pin outer peripheral surface in an axial cross section view and having a chord in the pin. A component inner peripheral surface part to be the seal part 21 on the side of a box 1 is a composite curve surface 19 that is constituted by connecting a first taper 15 positioned on a near shoulder part side and a second taper 16 positioned on a far shoulder part side through a concave surface 18 that is a rotation locus around a shaft of a concave arc 17 to be an arc existing in a box inner peripheral surface in the axial cross section view and having a chord outside the box. A curvature radius Rb of the concave arc 17 and a curvature radius Rp of the convex arc 9 satisfy the following relation: Rb≥Rp×0.7.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw joint for a steel pipe, which is a radial seal-type joint and which combines excellent galling resistance and sealability.SOLUTION: In the screw joint for the pipe, plating with a Vickers hardness of 310 or higher is applied to an inner surface of a box, equivalent to a screw part and a seal part of the box. In the case where D represents a seal diameter defined by an outside diameter of a pin at a sealing point as a part on an outer peripheral surface of a pin-side nose part firstly coming into contact with an inner peripheral surface of a box-side nose part in screw connection and where δ represents an interference amount defined by a diameter reduction amount when the seal point is diameter-reduced by the box, a seal interference amount ratio in the circumferential direction of the pipe in the seal part, which is computed by δ/D, is 0.002 or more.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw joint for a steel pipe of radial seal type capable of solving the problem of deviation in thickness and eccentricity of a pin, for stable sealing performance, in the context that a pin is thinner in wall thickness and lower in rigidity when compared with a box, which may result in degradation in sealing performance because of thickness deviation and eccentricity.SOLUTION: A nose part outer peripheral surface on a pin 3 side is tapered. A nose part inner peripheral surface on a box 1 side is a curved surface protruding outward. The inner diameter side and the outer diameter side of the pin 3 are ground. The range of its inner grinding length is from the tip end of a pin nose 8 to at least a sealing point sp, with a deviation rate in thickness within the range being specified.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw joint for steel piping that exhibits superior sealing properties even when subjected to a bending load.SOLUTION: The screw joint for steel piping is configured such that a pin 3 and a box 1 are coupled by means of screw coupling, bringing the outer peripheral surface of the nose part 8 of the pin and the inner peripheral surface of the nose part of the box into metal to metal contact, this contact part forming a seal part 20. The load flank angle α of the screw part (screw coupling part of a male screw 7 and a female screw 5) is the negative side and the torque shoulder angle β of a shoulder part 12, 14 is the negative side, and L/d, the ratio of the length of the nose part L and the outer diameter of the pipe d, is ≥0.08.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variation in the structure and mechanical characteristics of a metal tube in the circumferential direction when manufacturing a metal tube having an uneven pipe wall thickness in the circumferential direction.SOLUTION: When a metal tube with an uneven wall thickness in the circumferential direction is manufactured from a source metal tube having an even wall thickness in the circumferential direction, the source metal tube is heated entirely in the circumferential direction to a warm temperature region or a hot temperature region, and then, also heated partially at a specific portion in the circumferential direction. A diameter reduction rolling is then carried out after the temperature distribution is applied in the circumferential direction of the source metal tube.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive high-strength martensitic stainless steel pipe for use in oil wells which has excellent hot workability and a high strength exceeding 654 MPa of YS, further exhibits excellent CO 2 corrosion resistance under severe high-temperature corrosive environment of ≥170°C containing CO 2 , Cl - , etc., and excellent SSC resistance even under H 2 S-containing environments, and stably has high toughness. SOLUTION: The stainless steel pipe contains, by mass, ≤0.04% C, ≤0.50% Si, 0.20 to 1.80% Mn, ≤0.03% P, ≤0.005% S, 15.5 to 17.5% Cr, 2.5 to 5.5% Ni, ≤0.20% V, 1.5 to 3.5% Mo, 0.50 to 3.0% W, ≤0.05% Al, ≤0.15% N and ≤0.006% O so as to satisfy three correlational formulae, and has microstructure, wherein regarding the largest one of the crystal grains composing the microstructure, the distance between two points in the crystal grains is ≤200 μm. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel pipe screw joint which has a simple pin nose shape and high air tightness even in an outside pressure environment since a prior technique gives discontinuity between a shoulder part and a seal part, complicates a shape, and sacrifices processing efficiency.SOLUTION: The steel pipe screw joint includes: a pin 3 having a nose part 8 extending from a male screw part to a tube end side, and a shoulder part 14 provided at the tip end of the nose part 8; a female screw part; a seal surface 21 of the pin 3; and a box 1, in which the pin 3 and the box 1 are connected by screw connection, and a contact part between a nose part outer circumferential surface 31 of the pin 3 and the seal surface 21 of the box 1 forms a seal part. In the screw joint, the nose part outer circumferential surface 31 of the pin 3 has an outwardly convex curved shape, the seal surface 21 of the box 1 has a simple tapered shape, and a sealing point xis 0.2 inch or more.
