Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation-sensitive resin composition which is highly transparent to a radiation, is excellent in basic physical properties, e.g. sensitivity, resolution, dry etching resistance, and pattern shape, as a resist, has a high resolution performance, and exhibits a pattern with a small line edge roughness and a small density dependance; and an acid-dissociating-group-containing polymer which can be used for preparing the radiation-sensitive resin composition. SOLUTION: The acid-dissociating-group-containing polymer contains at least one kind of repeating units selected from repeating units represented by formulas (1) and (2) and also contains repeating units each having an acid-dissociating group, and the polymer is prepared by a living radical polymerization using a chain transfer agent represented by formula (X-1) (wherein R a is an optionally substituted hydrocarbon group; and Z is an optionally substituted, hetero-atom-containing group). PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring composition capable of forming a colored layer which can achieve both high heat resistance and a good voltage holding ratio, and to provide a colorant suitable for the coloring composition.SOLUTION: The coloring composition contains (A) a xanthene-based colorant having a polymerizable unsaturated group in a color developing moiety, (B) a binder resin, and (C) a crosslinking agent. The xanthene-based colorant (A) has, for example, a cation having a structure represented by a compound obtained by reaction of the following formula, and a counter anion selected from a boron anion, a phosphate anion, a carboxylate anion, a sulfate anion, an organic sulfonate anion, a nitrogen anion, and a methide anion.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring composition that excels in voltage holding ratio, and has high contrast.SOLUTION: The coloring composition includes the following components (A), (B), and (C): (A) a colorant including a dye in which the dissolving amount to cyclohexanone is exceeding 1 wt.% and less than 20 wt.%; (B) a binder resin; and (C) a crosslinking agent. The dye is not especially limited when the dissolving amount to cyclohexanone is exceeding 1 wt.% and less than 20 wt.%, however, the solubility to cyclohexanone is desirably exceeding 1 wt.% and at most 15 wt.%, and is especially desirably at least 3 wt.% and at most 8 wt.%. Moreover, the dye is desirably a xanthene based dye.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array substrate having a color filter layer that is cured at a low temperature and is excellent in color characteristics, and to provide a liquid crystal display element having a color filter-on-array structure.SOLUTION: A color filter layer 13 is formed on a substrate 4 having a switching active element 8 thereon, by using a colored composition containing: at least one colorant selected from the group consisting of a diketopyrrolopyrrole pigment, a halogenated zinc phthalocyanine pigment, a triarylmethane dye and an azo dye; a polymer having a carboxyl group and a thermally crosslinking group; and a compound expressed by formula (1) or formula (2). Then a spacer 10 is formed at a low temperature to constitute an array substrate. A liquid crystal display element is constituted by using the array substrate.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter that can be formed into a color liquid crystal display element having stable color characteristics for a long time.SOLUTION: A color filter is used for a liquid crystal display element including a plurality of colored pixels and having a white LED as a backlight source, in which at least one of the plurality of colored pixels contains an antioxidant.
