Abstract: PURPOSE: To well cope with the reduced diameter of a disk and the increased speed of disk treatment, and at the same time prevent the contamination of a disk due to fine powder and to improve also the positioning accuracy of the disk with an extremely simple configuration in a disk holding device. CONSTITUTION: In a disk holding device 20A, a circular hole 1A of a disk 1 is inserted into a disk retention rod 22A, the circular hole inner-periphery part of the disk 1 is engaged to a retention groove 31 provided on the rod 22A, and the disk 1 can be retained. The retention groove 30 is provided with a disk introduction taper part 41, a disk positioning part 42, and a disk support arcuate part 43.
