Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a combine so designed as to afford a control means to actuate, based on the retreat instruction for an overhanging part attached to a tank for holding grains, an advance/retreat driving means only in case the amount of grains in the tank is less than a specified level, thereby miniaturizing and simplifying said means. CONSTITUTION:When the retreat instruction for an overhanging part 12 attached to a tank 5 is given by a manually operating means, an advance/retreat driving means D including an electromotive motor 20 is actuated only in the case the amount of grains detected via sensors S1, S2, S3 and S4 installed on the inner wall of the tank 5 is less than a specified level. Thereby, said means can be actuated only in such a state that grain load hardly acts on the overhanging part, enabling the driving force and mechanical strength of said means to be set relatively small.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable proper threshing depth control even if the culm length of conveyed grain culms is rapidly changed by newly installing the same objective second sensor in addition to the existing first sensor for sensing the ear tip position of the conveyed grain culms and controlling a threshing depth regulating means utilizing the aforementioned sensor. CONSTITUTION:In a threshing depth controller equipped with a grain culm conveying passage to a thresher 2 provided with a threshing depth regulating means 17 for regulating the threshing depth in the thresher 2, the first sensor (S1) for sensing the ear tip positions of the conveyed grain culms in a passage part on the downstream side in the grain culm conveying direction of the threshing depth regulating position and further a controlling means for operating the threshing depth regulating means 17 so as to keep the threshing depth at the target value, the following construction is added. That is the second sensor (S2) for sensing the ear tip positions of the conveyed grain culms is installed in a passage part on the upstream side of the aforementioned threshing depth regulation position in the grain culm conveying direction so as to enable positional change and regulation in the culm body direction. The controlling means is operated so as to operate the threshing depth regulating means 17 to the deep threshing side as the second sensor (S2) senses the absence of the grain culms.
