The present specification relates to a foldable display device and a method of controlling therefor, and more particularly, to a method of configuring illuminance of a display screen according to an illuminance value detected based on a folding angle between a first body and a second body of the foldable display device. According to one embodiment, a foldable display device includes a first body configured to support a first display screen, a second body configured to support a second display screen wherein the first display screen and the second display screen are provided at a first side of the foldable display device, an angle sensing unit configured to sense a folding angle between the first body and the second body wherein the first body and the second body are foldable in a direction to which the first display screen and the second display screen are facing, a first illuminance sensing unit provided in the first side configured to sense illuminance, a second illuminance sensing unit provided in the second side, which is an opposite side of the first side, configured to sense illuminance, and a processor configured to control the first body, the second body, the angle sensing unit, the first illuminance sensing unit, and the second illuminance sensing unit, wherein the processor is further configured to: set illuminance of at least one of the first display screen and the second display screen provided at the first side, based on a first illuminance value detected by the first illuminance sensing unit of the first side, when the folding angle between the first body and the second body is equal to an illuminance threshold angle or greater than the illuminance threshold angle, set the illuminance of at least one of the first display screen and the second display screen, which are provided at the first side, based on a second illuminance value detected by the second illuminance sensing unit of the second side, when the folding angle between the first body and the second body is smaller than the illuminance threshold angle.

A display device includes a display unit configured to display an image and to sense a touch input; a sensor unit configured to sense a fingerprint from the touch input; a storage unit configured to store data; and a processor configured to control the display unit, the sensor unit, and the storage unit, wherein the processor is further configured to: detect a selection input for selecting first information, the first information having a security on state or a security off state; obtain the fingerprint from the selection input, and convert the first information from the security on state into the security off state when the obtained fingerprint is matched with a pre-stored fingerprint; and when a predetermined was detected before the first information is converted into the security off state, maintain the first information to the security on state by not obtaining the fingerprint from the selection input.

A method for controlling display of content, the content including a plurality of display pages of a sequence, the method comprising: displaying a first display page on the display screen, receiving a first user input for changing from the first display page to a second display page of the content, the second display page being a neighboring display page of the first display page in the sequence, detecting the second user input when the second display page is a locked display page, extracting the fingerprint information from the second user input when the second user input is detected, and displaying the second display page when the second display page is accessible based on the fingerprint information or a third display page when the second display page is not accessible based on the fingerprint information.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display unit configured to display content, the display unit comprising a first display area and a second display area, an image capturing unit configured to capture a front image of the display device and a processor configured to control the display unit and the image capturing unit and configured to detect a gaze location of a user located at a front of the display device from the captured image, wherein the processor is further configured to: display a first reading interface in the first display area, wherein the first reading interface displays a first part of a content, detect a gaze location of a first point in the first display area, display a second reading interface in the second display area and display a second part of the content in the second display area when a gaze location of a second point in the second display area is detected within a predetermined time after the gaze location of the first point is detected.

The present invention relates to a method of outputting a content using a head mounted display (HMD), and more particularly, to a method of outputting a currently displayed content of a digital device to an HMD. The present invention includes performing a pairing with a digital device having at least one display unit configured to display the content, detecting a location state of the paired digital device, and outputting the content displayed on the digital device to the HMD, wherein the location state comprises a first state in which a display unit of the digital device is located within a preset view angle region of the HMD and a second state in which the display unit of the digital device is not located within the view angle region.
