Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain sufficient volume of sound while maintaining portability. SOLUTION: An HDD player 100 is provided with a magnetostricitve actuator 110 to be driven with a reproduced sound signal. This magnetostricitve actuator 110 is arranged on a housing recess 122 of a casing 120. A user operates a sliding operation section 123 to bring a driving rod 110a into a state where it projects from the casing 120 and a housing state where the driving rod 110a is housed in the housing recess 122. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To direct the displacement of an output displacement part to be in the direction perpendicular to the displacement direction of an actuator element, and to make an output displacement larger than the displacement of the actuator element.
SOLUTION: One ends of lever arms arrayed side by side are jointed. The other end of one lever arm which is not jointed is jointed to a fixing part that supports the rear end of an actuator element, and the other end of the other lever arm is jointed to a connection part of rigid body jointed to the tip of the actuator element. The connection part of a rigid body transmits the displacement force of the actuator element to the lever arm, and the transmitted displacement force is transmitted to the joint part through the lever arm. The joint part of two lever arms arrayed side by side is converted to the direction perpendicular to the displacement direction of the actuator element, and the joint part becomes an output displacement part, so displacement of the output displacement part becomes larger than displacement of the actuator element.

The component eliminated through dissolving is non-compatible with other components. Thus, the sound diaphragm with low density is obtained. The high polymer material may include a strength reinforcement material.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To make equipment small in size and light in weight by a method wherein an output light of a semiconductor laser is made to branch in a plurality in optical waveguides, the light is modulated on the optical waveguide on one side, an optical specimen is irradiated with the modulated light, a reflected light therefrom and a unmodulated light are synthesized and an interference light is detected from the synthesized light. CONSTITUTION: The light of a semiconductor laser 1 enters an optical waveguide base 4 through a lens 2 and an optical isolator 3 are branched in two systems in optical waveguides and the light advancing through the waveguide on one side is subjected to phase modulation by an optical modulator. The modulated light and a unmodulated light from the base 4 are collimated by a lens 5. The modulated light passes through a polarizing beam splitter 6 and a 1/4 wave plate 7 and is converged by a lens 8 on a specimen 90. A reflected light therefrom is a linearly polarized light and reflected onto a polarizing plate 12 by the splitter 6. The unmodulated light enters an optical path regulator 9 and is propagated several times inside the regulator so that an optical length be regulated. The light is then reflected by a mirror 11, passes through the splitter 6 and advances to the polarizing plate 12 side. By tilting the direction of polarization of the polarizing plate 12 at an angle of 45 degrees to both of the lights, they interfere with each other and are synthesized and an interference signal is detected from the synthesized light by a photodetector 13.
