    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simply manufacture of electret material which has functions of powder and liquid droplets by adhering powder or droplets or the like having specific chemical or physical functions on the surface on the basis of electrostatic attraction of an electret. CONSTITUTION:A specific substance 4 having chemical or physical function is supplied by a supplying unit 5 in a predetermined quantity to an air suction port 11, dispersed in a predetermined concentration by the diffusing power of air 6 introduced from the port, and passed through an electret body 1 by the suction force of a suction fan 8. In this step, the substance is attracted by the electrostatic force of the electret body having 5X10 coulomb/cm or more of surface charge density and collected on its surface. As a result, the attracted substance is formed as a functional electret material 13 having a stable function not easily removed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress static trouble due to abrasion and friction, and to display an original electret function sufficiently by compounding specific electret cloth and specific electricity-inhibiting cloth. CONSTITUTION:Electret composite cloth is formed by compounding electret cloth 2a having the density of electric charges of the surface of 1X10 C/cm or more and electricity-inhibiting cloth 3a having the density of charged electric charges at the time of friction of 9X10 C/cm or more. Various systems such as single compound, sewing, thermal adhesion, bonding by adhesives, ultrasonic bonding, etc., can be used as a compounding method. Consequently, static trouble due to abrasion and friction is suppressed, and an original electret function is displayed sufficiently. Polypropylene, polyethylene, etc., are employed as electret cloth, and electricity-inhibiting fiber is used as electricity-inhibiting cloth, and an electricity inhibitor is mixed. Stainless fiber and carbon fiber are employed as electricity-inhibiting fiber.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare a filter having a very low pressure loss and superb collecting performance compared with the existing HEPA filter by providing an electret non-woven cloth layer of dense structure on the dust collecting face and a non-woven cloth of rough structure on the downstream side. CONSTITUTION:An electret non-woven cloth 4 of dense structure is provided on the dust collecting face by the relationship of fiber filling rate Y and fiber medium diameter X which satisfies formulas I-IV. The non-woven cloth is preferably of melt-blow method having a 0.2-30mum fiber diameter distribution. Electret characteristics should be more than 1.4X10 coulomb/cm of ther mostimulating depolarized charge amount. Weight per unit area is around 10-180g/m . Collecting performance is superbly enhanced by providing in paral lel the electret non-woven cloth layer and the non-woven cloth layer 5 of rough structure. The non-woven cloth of rough structure having a low pressure loss and high reinforcing support effect should be selected.
