    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a member for fuel treatment for controlling reduction in properties such as toughness, molding processability, etc., being essential characteristics of a polyolefin resin, having specifically improved characteristics of permeation resistance of chemical and gas, preferably useful for a fuel container for automobile, etc., and auxiliary parts uses such as a connection part, a piping, etc., thereof. SOLUTION: This member for fuel treatment is characterized in that the member comprises a resin composition composed of (a) 55-80 vol.% of a polyolefin resin and (b) 45-20 vol.% of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and forms a phase structure where (b) the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer forms a matrix phase (continuous phase) and (a) and polyolefin resin forms a dispersion phase in a resin phase separation structure observed by an electron microscope.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin structure having gas and/or liquid permeation resistances even in use under high humidity and, in addition, excellent properties upon water absorption which have inhibited lowering in mechanical properties such as change in dimension and rigidity by moisture absorption, a laminated structure which gives a plastic container and a tubular body having excellent barrier properties, durability, and molding processability as well, and also provide its use. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin structure is composed substantially of a resin composition comprising (a) 5-80 vol.% polyamide resin and (b) 95-20 vol.% polyphenylene sulfide resin and, at the same time, forms a phase structure such that the polyphenylene sulfide resin (b) comes to a matrix phase (a continuous phase) and the polyamide resin (a) comes to a dispersion phase in the resin phase separation structure to be observed by an electron microscope.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition which can give moldings excellent in impact strength, gloss, solvent resistance, and water absorption by mixing a cycloolefin resin with a graft-modified cycloolefin resin, an elastomer, and a polyamide in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This composition comprises 0-59.5 pts.wt. (A) cycloolefin resin, 0.5-60 pts.wt. (B) cycloolefin resin graft-modified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative, 2-30 pts.wt. (C) elastomer modified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative and having a tensile modulus of 0.01-200 MPa, and 20-60 pts.wt. (D) polyamide in which there is a specified difference between the concentrations of specified types of terminal groups and which is represented by formula I. Component A is at least one member selected from a ring-opening polymer of a single cycloolefin, represented by formula II, a ring-opening polymer of at least two cycloolefins, products obtained by the hydrogenation of them, and an ethylene/cycloolefin copolymer. In formula I, R1 to R18, Ra, and Rb are each hydrogen, a hydrocarbon group, or the like; n and q are each 0 or 1; and m is 0 or a positive integer.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce the subject structure excellent in low water absorptivity, dimensional stability when absorbing moisture, rigidity, toughness and moldability and useful for automotive parts, electrical and electronic parts, etc., by including a polyamide resin and a polyolefin. SOLUTION: This structure is obtained by including (A) 55-80 vol.% of a polyamide resin (e.g. nylon 6 resin) and (B) 45-20 vol.% of a polyolefin. The polyolefin forms a matrix phase and the polyamide resin forms a dispersed phase in the phase separation structure of the structure observed under an electron microscope. Furthermore, a fibrous or a nonfibrous inorganic filler or both in an amount of 1-150 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the sum of the components A and B are preferably contained. The polyolefin is preferably a modified polyolefin prepared by modifying polypropylene with an unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride (e.g. maleic anhydride). The ratio of the melt viscosity of the components A to B under conditions of =1.5.
