    Abstract: PURPOSE:To well arrange a web, facilitate the slip of the web on a receiving pan and stably obtain the titled product, by blowing breezes from both sides of a receiving pan provided between a doffer and calender rolls of a carding machine on both sides of a spun web. CONSTITUTION:A receiving pan 4 is first provided between a differ 1 and calender rolls 5 of a carding machine and breezes are blown from both sides of the receiving pan 4 on both sides of a spun web by a method for blowing out the breezes passing through, e.g. compressed air pipes 3 with holes perforated at a given interval and mounted above both sides of sidewalls of the receiving pan 4 from the above-mentioned holes, etc. Short fibers are then fed to the carding machine to strip a web from the doffer 1 and descent the web on the receiving pan 4 while suitable bundling with the breezes. The bundles web is then passed through the calender rolls 5 and contained in a can by a coiling device to afford the aimed product.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the winding of a yarn defect part in a cheese and eliminate the need of rewinding, by providing a yarn defect sensor and a yarn cutter in each spindle of a spinning machine, stopping a spun yarn when the sensor senses the yarn defect and stopping the feed of a sliver to a yarn forming part. CONSTITUTION:A yarn cutter 9 and a yarn defect sensor 10 are provided in a spinning machine having a drafting part consisting of rolls 1, 2 and 3, yarn forming part consisting of conveyor bands 4, pneumatic device 5 and false twisting nozzle 6, delivery rolls 7 and cheese winding part. When the sensor 10 senses the presence of a yarn defect in a spun yarn, the cutter 9 is operated to cut the spun yarn. The pneumatic device 5 is operated almost simultaneously therewith to stuck the spun yarn. The feed of a sliver to the drafting part is then sopped.
