Zur Behandlung und Abpackung von Gartenabfall wird ein Kombinationsgerät vorgeschlagen, bei dem die harten Äste und Strauchwerk in einer Zerkleinerungseinrichtung zusammen mit den weichen Abfällen wie Rasenschnitt, Laub und dergleichen einer Presseinrichtung mit angeschlossener Absackung zugeführt werden. Das harte Gut wird in der Zerkleinerungseinrichtung (1) durch die Schneidwerkzeuge (5) zerkleinert und über die Öffnung (6), wie auch die weichen Äbfalle, in die Presseinrichtung (2) gefördert und dort mit dem Zinkenrotor (8) und seinen Zinken (9) in den aus dem Abstreifer (10) und der Kanalwand (20) gebildeten Presskanal (11) gedrückt. Der Krummer (21) führt das gepresste Gut in den Sackhalter (16). Die Abstützwanne (19) entlastet den sich füllenden hängenden Sack (17). Der Antrieb erfolgt mit der hohen Motordrehzahl direkt auf schnell laufende Schneidwerkzeuge (5) und über eine Untersetzung auf den Iangsamer laufenden Zinkenrotor (8).

An improved brush chipper (10) having an upper feed control member with stop, forward, neutral, and reverse positions also has a lower feed stop member (31) with selectable sensitivity. Another aspect of the invention is to predict the feed roller shutoff point according to the rate of engine deceleration. According to another aspect, when the feed rollers stop feeding material into the cutters, to overcome drag on the cutters, a controller stops the feed rollers and then reverses them for a short time, and then reverses the rollers again if the problem is still present.

The invention relates to a cutter (1) for garden waste or the like. The cutter (1) has at least one milling cylinder (4) co-operating with a freely rotatable, cylindrical counter structure (8). The two parallel cylinders (4, 8) consequently have such a mutual axial distance that the milling teeth (6) penetrate into the surface of the counter structure (8) and rotate therewith as a result of positive engagement.

An infeed system is provided for a chipper or grinder having a processing portion wherein an item is processed into smaller pieces. The infeed system is upstream of the processing portion and includes a feed roller, a first hydraulic motor in communication with the feed roller for selectively actuating the feed roller, a second hydraulic motor in communication with the feed roller for selectively actuating the feed roller, and a hydraulic pump for providing hydraulic fluid to the first and second motors. A directional control valve and a relational control valve are between the pump and the motors. The directional control valve allows the hydraulic fluid to operate the first and second motors in a forward direction and in a reverse direction, and the relational control valve allows the hydraulic fluid to operate the first and second motors in series and in parallel.

The invention concerns firstly a discharge device (2) for shredded organic matter from a shredder (1), wherein the device comprises a rotatable shaft (3) on which a fan element (4) is provided which is configured to project the shredded matter in the direction of the discharge side, and displacement means (5; 6) which are configured to move at least part of the supplied matter in the direction of the fan element (4). The invention furthermore concerns a shredder (1) provided with such a discharge device (2).

The present invention relates to a cutter (33) and method for manufacturing the cutter by means of investment casting. We describe a cutting element (33) for a vegetation shredder, the cutting element being a hollow unitary element comprising a plurality of elongate blades (45) arranged in a generally cylindrical configuration between a proximal and distal support elements (43, 44).
