Abstract:
In a device (V) for closing containers, in particular, bottles with screw closures, with at least one rotatable closure head (K), in which a closure specific seal element (E) is exchangeable retained a positive-fit quick-release mechanism (S) for the relevant closure element (E) is embodied in the closure head (K) and in the released state of the quick-release mechanism (S) the closure element (E) may be laterally removed essentially perpendicular to the rotational axis of the closure head (K).
Abstract:
Abstract:
Device for rapid engagement/release of units (1) for fitting lids to containers, comprising a fixed part (100) and a movable part (200) which can be reversibly coupled to the fixed part (100), said fixed part comprising means (112) for housing corresponding first radial elements (213a) integral with the movable part (200) and such as to allow the movement in an axial and/or radial direction of the said movable part (200), there being provided first locking means (111) associated with the fixed part (100) and able to co-operate with corresponding second radial elements (213) of the movable part (200) so as to prevent displacement in an axial direction thereof, and second locking means (130,132) coaxially movable on the fixed part (100) and able to co-operate with said first radial elements (213a) so as to prevent the rotation of the movable part (200).
Abstract:
An apparatus (10) is provided for non-destructively testing for a predetermined minimum release torque of container caps (398i) on containers (285i) that are sequentially delivered to a torque testing station (A) in the apparatus. The apparatus includes a means (20) for delivering capped containers to the torque testing station; a means (30) for clamping the containers at the torque testing station; a means (40) for grasping the caps of the containers at the torque testing station; a means (50) connected to the cap grasping means for applying a release torque to the container caps; and, a means (60) including a strain gage (65) coupled to the release torque applying means for sensing the level of release torque applied to the caps and providing a signal indicative of such level. Capped containers that pass the test are sequentially passed along for further processing (e.g., packaging and shipping) by the user, and those that fail the test are segregated in a reject area (253) for reprocessing or destruction. The apparatus also includes selectively operable means (SW-4, 738, 727, 725, 734, VIP-1) for destructively testing selected capped containers, on a sampling basis, to determine the actual release torque of the container caps on such containers.
Abstract:
A method for filling a container (2) with a filling product, comprising the steps of: positioning the container (2) in a filling station (1) so that its mouth (2b) is below the filling valve (9); separating a treatment volume (40) of the neck (2a) comprised between the filling valve (9) and at least one part of the neck (2a) of the container (2) from an external environment (6) containing the body (2d) of the container (2); dispensing plasma into the treatment volume (40) so that it flows over the neck (2a) of the container (2); enabling the filling valve (9) to dispense the filling product into the container (2).
Abstract:
A laboratory capper, decapper or combination capper/decapper includes a deck containing with a nest designed to hold an SBS-formatted tube storage rack, and a bit exchange magazine assembly containing one or more sets of adapter bits. The adapter bits are mounted on and unloaded from motor driven fittings, and are exchanged in order to cap or decap laboratory sample tubes or vials that have different head configurations. The bit exchange magazine assembly enables the bit to be exchanged robotically.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for operating a closing station (9), which is arranged in a filling plant (1, la, lb) with a filling machine (4) for filling containers (2) with a filling product in a container transport direction on the container transport path successively to the filling machine and which comprises a closing element (9a, 9b) arranged at a closing element position (10) for closing the containers.
