Abstract:
Systems and methods for monitoring the performance of reciprocating compressors are disclosed. The monitoring system includes inductive power generation at individual cylinders of the compressor, alleviating the need to run power supply and conduits to each of the cylinders. The inductive system also allows piston position to be determined at each cylinder. Data acquired at each cylinder can be telemetered to a central hub for processing.
Abstract:
A method for fault detection includes selecting a measured parameter from a subsurface electrical device and obtaining a plurality of samples for the measured parameter. The method also includes removing at least one invalid sample from the plurality of samples to generate a remaining number of samples. The method further includes computing a diagnostic parameter based on the remaining number of samples, if the remaining number of samples is greater than a predefined threshold number and terminating the method otherwise. The method also includes obtaining a rule from a plurality of rules stored in a database, based on the diagnostic parameter. The rule is indicative of a standard operating condition of the subsurface electrical device. The method further includes evaluating whether the determined diagnostic parameter satisfies the obtained rule, to generate an output and determining a measured operating condition of the subsurface electrical device based on the output.

The present embodiments disclose an axial hydraulic pump including a residual pressure regenerating circuit (30) which is a pipe line communicating with a top dead center side communication port (31) and a bottom dead center side communication port (32). Further, the axial hydraulic pump includes cylinder ports (26-1 to 26-8) which are provided in the respective cylinder bores of the cylinder block (6) and are operated with the rotation of the cylinder block (6). Even further, the axial hydraulic pump includes communication holes (41-1 to 41-8) which communicate with the top dead center side communication port (31) and the bottom dead center side communication port (32).
Abstract:
A method of monitoring integrity of a pump. The method may include recording timing information of the pump during operation while simultaneously sampling acoustic data with a high speed equidistant acquisition mechanism or at a rate based on the speed of the pump in operation. The acquisition of acoustic data is followed by evaluation thereof. Such techniques may improve resolution of acquired data while substantially increasing processor capacity for evaluation. A pump integrity monitor for carrying out such techniques is also described.

The invention relates to a device (1) for state monitoring in hydrostatic displacement units (2), in particular in axial piston machines (3) operated as a pump or as a motor. The device (1) comprises an acquisition unit (4) with a multiplicity of sensors (5) which are attached to the hydrostatic displacement unit (2) and serve to acquire monitoring data (6) and operating data (7), and an evaluating unit (8) which has a device (9) for analysing the monitoring data in the frequency range and a device (10) for analysing the monitoring data in the time range. A diagnostic unit (11) with an output unit (13) is connected to the evaluating unit (8).
Abstract:
A compressor mounted on a vehicle-side mounting section by using through bolts. The area of a first mounting surface of the compressor at which the compressor is mounted on the vehicle-side mounting section is set greater than the area of a second mounting surface where a seat surface for a head of each through bolt is formed. Because both the mounting surfaces have different areas, vibration is suppressed when the compressor is mounted in place. Thus, the simple improvement can effectively reduce vibration when the compressor is mounted on the vehicle-side mounting section using through bolts.

A power pump performance analysis system and methods includes a signal processor connected to certain sensors for sensing pressures and stresses in the cylinder chambers and the inlet and discharge piping of a single or multicylinder pump. Pump speed and pump piston position may be determined by a crankshaft position sensor. Performance analyses for pump work performed, pump cylinder chamber stress, pump fluid end useful cycles to failure, and crosshead loading and shock analysis are provided for estimating pump component life and determining times for component replacement before failure.

A positive displacement pump monitor. The monitor includes a sensor coupled to a housing of a pump for obtaining acoustic data therefrom. A proximity switch may be simultaneously used to keep real time timing information relative to the cycling of the pump. A data processor of the monitor may then be employed to analyze acoustic data and timing information to distinguish acceptable noise from leak information. An operator thereby may be warned of the presence of a leak in the pump.
