    Abstract: A sleeve-type bladder accumulator having an outer generally cylindrical body, an apertured cylindrical stop tube concentrically disposed within the cylindrical body, an elastic tubular bladder sleeve partially enveloping the stop tube with each end of the sleeve being anchored by sandwiching between a bladder retainer carried on the adjacent end of the stop tube and the end cap fixed to the adjacent end of the cylindrical body, a clamping spring nested within the bore of one end of the stop tube and a spring socket formed by the adjacent bladder retainer to exert a force upon the stop tube tending to move the stop tube away from the adjacent bladder retainer to secure a pair of split shear rings which lock each end of the cylindrical body to its adjacent end cap, and sealing means made more secure by the force generated by the clamping spring.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a low cost accumulator device having a pressure vessel formed of two components, namely, a shell and a cap, the seal between the shell and cap being effected in the course of mounting the shell to the cap by compression of a thickened rim portion of the bladder between the shell and cap components, the apparatus being so constructed and arranged that optimum compression of the rim portion is automatically achieved, thereby avoiding under-compression with possible resultant leaks or over-compression with possible damage to the bladder.

    Abstract: A gas charged accumulator includes a gas chamber and a hydraulic reservoir on opposite sides of a movable member. A fill passage for pressurizing the gas chamber includes a movable operating device for operating an indicator when the accumulator is substantially discharged. Gas flows directly past the indicator operating device when the gas chamber is pressurized through the fill passage. A normally closed switch assembly is mounted in the fill opening outwardly of the indicator operating device subsequent to pressurization of the gas chamber. The indicator operating device holds the switch assembly in an open position when the accumulator is charged and provides closing of the switch when the accumulator is substantially discharged.

    Abstract: A liquid pressure tank is provided for storing liquid under pressure for use in domestic or commercial reticulated supply of the type having an impervious bladder dividing the tank into an air chamber and a liquid chamber, a constant amount of air being maintained in the chamber under pressure. A liquid pump and pressure switch system is provided for maintaining liquid in the chamber between preset pressure limits, and the tank includes a liquid outlet control comprising a seat member and a resilient disc member mounted in spaced relation from the seat and arranged to be deformed around the seat when contacted by the bladder mounted therearound to at least partially close the outlet and prevent rupturing of the bladder when liquid is substantially exhausted from the tank.
