Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform whether the mode is a FAX mode or mail mode when inputting a FAX number or mail address, and further, to report the mode state by simple icon display. SOLUTION: When the FAX mode is judged, on a liquid crystal display(LCD), display is performed for instructing the input of the destination number of FAX. When the destination FAX number is inputted in such a state, an icon showing FAX and the inputted destination FAX number are displayed in the order of input on the LCD. Besides, when the mail mode is judged, on the LCD, display is performed for instructing the input of an E-mail address. When the E-mail address is inputted in such a state, an icon showing E-mail and the inputted mail address are displayed in the order of input on the LCD. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
Abstract:
A communication device (10) may execute first type of determination process based on a first type of determination standard, and execute a second type of determination process based on a second type of determination standard. The communication device (10) may perform communication in accordance with a first communication scheme, if determined in the first and second types of determination process that the communication device (10) can perform communication. The communication device (10) may perform communication in accordance with a second communication scheme, if determined in the first type of determination process that the communication device (10) can not perform communication. The communication device (10) may notify a user of specific information, if determined in the second type of determination process that the communication device (10) can not perform communication, and may not notify the user, if determined in the first type of determination process that the communication device (10) can not perform communication.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communications device capable of controlling an operation depending on a purpose.SOLUTION: A FAX device is connected to an NGN (Next Generation Network) network and a PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network). A public line processing communication part executes a public line communication process via the PSTN by using a FAX number. An IP processing communication part executes an IP communication process via the NGN network by using a SIPURI (SIP Uniform Resource Identifier). A setting part sets whether or not a fallback process for switching over from the IP communication process to the public line communication process and originating a call again is executed. A first detector acquires a communication error content. A first determination part determines the execution propriety of a redial process for originating a call again by the IP communication process based on the communication error content in the case that the IP communication process is not successful. In the case that the redial process cannot be executed, the IP processing communication part executes the fallback process if the setting is performed to execute the fallback process in the setting part. On the other hand, in the case that the redial process can be executed, the IP processing communication part executes the redial process.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of properly performing IP filtering even when communication by IP-FAX is performed when a user inputs the telephone number of the other party. SOLUTION: The communication apparatus which can perform communication by IP-FAX with another device connected to a network includes: an IP filter unit for allowing or rejecting communication on the basis of a set IP address; an inputting unit for inputting or setting a telephone number; and an acquiring unit for acquiring an IP address corresponding to a telephone number input or set by the inputting unit from an ENUM server and an SIP server connected to the network, and sets an IP filter based on the obtained IP address in the IP filter unit. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit image data via the Internet even when the IP address of the reception side is unknown in Internet facsimile. SOLUTION: A multifunction machine 101 includes a network communication unit 113, an operation display unit 118, a control unit 111 which generates peer-to-peer connection information to be peer-to-peer connected with a multifunction machine 102 using the network communication unit 113, and a FAX communication unit 117 which transmits the peer-to-peer connection information to the multifunction machine 102 through a telephone network 104 according to a facsimile number whose input is received by the operation display unit 118. The multifunction machine 102 includes a FAX communication unit 127 which receives the peer-to-peer connection information from the multifunction machine 101, a network communication unit 123 which acquires image data from the multifunction machine 101, by generating peer-to-peer connection with the multifunction machine 101 based on the peer-to-peer connection information, and a printer 126 which performs printing on the basis of the received image data. Abstract:
A network facsimile apparatus (FX) having a real-time network facsimile function (12) and an e-mail-based facsimile function (11) is provided. The network facsimile apparatus (FX) includes a selector (1) for making a selection, for a transmission operation, whether to use the real-time network facsimile function (12) or the e-mail-based facsimile function (11). The selection is made in accordance wtih specified destination information.
Abstract:
A facsimile device 10 serving as a transmission device of the present invention has a maintenance information base (MIB) 23a storing address data. When the facsimile device 10 receives a SNMP-based packet including a GET command, the address data is retrieved and transmitted to an external device 3. When the facsimile device 10 receives a SNMP-based packet including a SET command, address data included in the packet is retrieved and registered into the MIB 23a.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus includes plural communication units, a switching unit, and a controller. The communication units are configured to conduct a wireless communication. The switching unit is configured to switch a first communication unit having a relatively fast communication speed to a second communication unit having a relatively slow communication speed if a communication is attempted to start and if the first communication unit is being used. The controller is configured to perform a control to start the communication by the first communication unit.
Abstract:
A multifunction peripheral includes two types of communication parts that communicate based on communication destination information, a communication designation information database in which identification information are stored, and a post-process controller that determines that the communication destination information for a same destination is updated when either one of the communication destination information in the communication destination information database is updated, and determines that the communication destination information for another destination is assigned to the identification information when both of the communication destination information in the communication destination information database are updated.
