The supporting portion extends from the rear surface and is configured for supporting the digital picture frame on a supporting surface. The carrying portion is arranged at the rear surface. The carrying portion includes a mount for facing the supporting surface. The mount is configured for holding a printed picture thereon. The image capturing unit is arranged at the supporting portion and is configured for capturing an image of the printed picture. The light sources are arranged at the supporting portion and are configured for illuminating the printed picture.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes a printing unit which is disposed in a housing and configured to form an image on a sheet, an lid attached to the housing by a hinge mechanism, and a camera which is attached to the lid and configured to read an image on a document while the lid is open, wherein the sheet having the image formed by the printing unit is discharged on the lid, and when the lid is opened, the camera can read the document which is placed at a reading position below the camera.
Abstract:
A method of capturing an image of a document is provided. First, a notebook computer having a base is provided, wherein an image pickup device is disposed on the notebook computer, and a symbol mark is formed on the base of the notebook computer. Next, a document fixer having a fixer middle mark is provided. The document is fixed by the document fixer, wherein a centerline of a long edge of the document is aligned with the fixer middle mark. Next, the document fixer is moved according to a size of the document until the fixer middle mark is aligned with the symbol mark. After the image of the document is captured, an image processing procedure is performed. By aligning the fixer middle mark with the symbol mark of the notebook computer, the document is precisely positioned and thus a sharp image with no tilted distortion is acquired.
Abstract:
A visual presenter includes a base, an upright portion standing from the base and having a distal end, a support column including a horizontal portion formed by bending the distal end of the upright portion so that the horizontal portion protrudes forward away from the base, the horizontal portion having a distal end, an imaging camera head mounted on the distal end of the horizontal portion, and a pivot portion provided on the upright portion of the support column so that the horizontal portion is pivotable horizontally.
Abstract:
A visual presenter includes a base including a pivotal shaft support, a support column standing on the pivotal shaft support and having a distal end curved so as to protrude in such a direction that the distal end becomes more distant from the base, and an imaging camera rotatably mounted on the distal end of the support column. The imaging camera includes a casing having both lengthwise ends, an imaging camera body mounted on one lengthwise end of the casing and an operation unit mounted on the other lengthwise end. The pivotal shaft support is biased from a lengthwise center of the casing relative to the support column so that a distance from the support column to the one lengthwise end of the casing on which the imaging camera is mounted is longer than a distance from the support column to the other lengthwise end of the casing.
Abstract:
An articulated arm for the alignment or a capturing device for optically capturing an object to be placed on a support surface, has—as a conventional double parallelogram arm—a base part, a top part, an articulate part and two pairs of rods which connect the base part or the top part to the articulated part. The articulated arm furthermore has a shaft which is rotatably fastened to the top part and has an operative mechanical connection to one of the rods pivotably fastened to the top part. This operative connection results in a rotation of the shaft relative to the top part on pivoting of the rod.
Abstract:
An image pickup apparatus includes a video camera shooting a material placed on a stage to obtain an image signal delivered to an external reproducing equipment and a column for supporting the video camera so that the video camera is located over a central portion of the stage. The column is formed into a vertical two-stage structure including an upper column and a lower column. The video camera is located over the central portion of the stage when the lower column is rotated to stand and the upper column is extended straightforward from the lower column. The upper column is rotated so as to be folded at right angles to the lower column when an object in the rear of the stage is shot by the video camera. When the apparatus is folded, the lower column is brought down to lie along the stage and the upper column is folded relative to the lower column.
Abstract:
A facsimile machine is to be made for portable applications with the added features of being light weight, slender and compact in design. A single drive roller which is fixed is used in moving media for the scanning and printing functions without the reversal of the roller to accomplish these tasks individually at separate times or simultaneously. The slender profile of the present device with the base narrower than the height makes it very unstable in its upright operating mode. Arms pivoted at each end rotate and lock into an opened position thus providing a stable position for the device in which it is no longer vertically upright, but supported at an angle by the arms where print media can enter without difficulty and scanned documents can also be fed without obstruction by the print media roll. The arms lock into a closed position in which they follow the contours of the main body as an extension of the device without any noticeable protrusions. Locating the print media, either in sheet form or roll form, with respect to the printer of the device, is accomplished by alignment projections on the main body which guide the media into its correct position over the print head, and also prevent the roll or sheet from sliding perpendicular to its direction of travel.
Abstract:
There is provided an image input apparatus which can quickly and easily move a camera head to an intended position, can adequately adjust the position of the camera head, can improve operability in the document photographing mode, and is easy to carry. The image input apparatus has a camera head, support members coupled via a plurality of joint portions to support the camera head, and a base for supporting the proximal end side of the support members. When an image is input by the camera head, the camera head can be held at a predetermined position and posture by each of the plurality of joint portions. A pivot support mechanism arranged between a camera unit and a support portion has a fist support member having two opposing projections, a second support member arranged between the projections, a pair of clamping members arranged to clamp the projections between the second support member and themselves, and a torque generation mechanism for generating a torque between the second support member, the clamping members, and the projections. A pivot support mechanism arranged between a support portion and a base has a first support member having two opposing projections, a second support member, and has two end portions respectively engaging with the two projections and a coupling portion for coupling these two end portions, and a torque generation mechanism arranged between the first and second support members. An opening portion through which the cable extends is formed on the coupling portion.
