Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent thin film having high luminous efficiency or the like. SOLUTION: The fluorescent thin film 10 has a number of protrusions 14 formed on the surface of a fluorescent thin film part 12. A fluorescent material constituting a fluorescent layer of the fluorescent thin film part 12 and protrusions 14 is, for example, ZnS on which Mn is doped. The protrusion 14 has a pole-shape of ≤10 nm in diameter D in terms of a circle, and it has a height H, for example, of about 500 nm. The protrusion 14 has such a structure that a fluorescent layer 16 having a thickness T2 of ≤10 nm and an insulation layer 18 having a thickness T3 of ≤10 nm are alternately laminated, for example, in 10 layers in total. The material constituting the insulation layer 18 is, for example, Si 3 N 4 . The protrusion 14 has dots 20, for example, of gold of an island-shape formed on the top. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact-type image sensor(CIS) unit capable of suppressing the dispersion of illuminance on a read line. SOLUTION: A CIS unit 50 is provided with a casing 52, a discharge light- emitting element 1 integrated inside this easing 52, a sensor IC 53 and a rod lens array 54. Then, the casing 52 is provided with a support part 51 for supporting the side face of the discharge light-emitting element 1.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a viewer to view an image display panel with ease by providing a 1st and a 2nd means which slant a display panel up and down, and right and left so as to adjust the elevation and azimuth. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with the 1st device 110 which slants the display panel 100 up and down so as to adjust the elevation at the viewer and the 2nd device 150 which slants the display panel 100 right and left so as to adjust the azimuth. When the viewer pushes or draws the upper part of the display panel 100, a ball 133 in the cavity 132 of the 1st device 100 comes out of the recessed part 125 of a support member 120 and rushes into an adjacent recessed part 125, and then the display panel 100 is slanted up or down so as to adjust the elevation at the viewer. When the handle 162 of the 2nd device 150 is rotated, its driving force is transmitted to a driven pinion 175 to move the support member 120, and then the display panel 100 is rotated clockwise or counterclockwise, so that its azimuth is varied.
