    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to compare a target sample of text to a set of textual records, each textual record including a sample of text and an indication of one or more segments of text within the sample of text. Semantic similarity values between the target sample of text and each of the textual records are determined. Determining a particular semantic similarity value between the target sample of text and a particular textual record of the corpus includes: (i) determining individual semantic similarity values between the target sample of text and each of the segments of text indicated by the particular textual record, and (ii) generating the particular semantic similarity value between the target sample of text and the particular textual record based on the individual semantic similarity values. A textual record is then selected based on the semantic similarities.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a heat exchanger includes providing a first slab having a first plurality of tubes extending from a first end to a second end of the first slab along a first length of the first slab. The method includes providing a second slab having a second plurality of tubes extending from a third end to a fourth end of the second slab along a second length of the second slab. The method includes positioning a first face of the first slab adjacent to a second face of the second slab in a side-by-side configuration and securing a connector to the first end of the first slab and to the third end of the second slab in the side-by-side configuration. The method includes bending the first slab and the second slab together in the side-by-side configuration to form a bent configuration of the heat exchanger.

    Abstract: A wireless power system has a wireless power transmitting device and a wireless power receiving device. The wireless power transmitting device uses a wireless power transmitting coil to transmit wireless power signals to the wireless power receiving device. The wireless power transmitting device determines whether an external object is present. The external object may be a foreign object such as a coin or paperclip or may be a wireless power receiving device. External objects are detected using quality-factor measurements. Wireless communications are used to discriminate between foreign objects and wireless power receiving devices. Quality factor measurements may be compensated for aging and temperature effects using temperature measurements and compensation factors based on frequency and measured resistance.

    Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to decoding encoded files. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to systems and processes for determining the underlying language of encoded files having certain file formats with an undeterminable encoding. It may be difficult, time consuming, and costly to decode the files with undeterminable encodings as such files may require the language to be identified prior to decoding. Embodiments disclosed herein relate to determining the underlying language of the files by analyzing bit sequences in the encoded file and comparing the bit sequences against training data to determine matching patterns between the bit sequences in the file and the bit sequences known correspond to terms associated with a particular language.

    Abstract: This disclosure provide various techniques for improving the quality of a signal. By integrating phase-shifting circuitry with a transmit/receive (T/R) switch, insertion loss may be reduced while decreasing space consumed on an integrated circuit or printed circuit board. In particular, embodiments disclosed herein include a transmitter and a receiver, each including one or more differential amplifiers coupled to a first inductor, and a switching network coupled to a second inductor and one or more phase-shifting circuitries. A differential interface of the differential amplifiers may enable integration of a stage of the phase shifter (e.g., a 180 degree stage) with the T/R switch, such that a single circuit may operate as the phase shifter and the T/R switch. This implementation may reduce the number of T/R switches and phase shifter stages in the phased array system, reducing the overall insertion loss experienced by the phased array system.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a data augmentation system and method that uses a large pre-trained encoder language model to generate new, useful intent samples from existing intent samples without fine-tuning. In certain embodiments, for a given class (intent), a limited number of sample utterances of a seed intent classification dataset may be concatenated and provided as input to the encoder language model, which may generate new sample utterances for the given class (intent). Additionally, when the augmented dataset is used to fine-tune an encoder language model of an intent classifier, this technique improves the performance of the intent classifier.

    Abstract: A ride system includes a track and an overhung ride assembly. The overhung ride assembly includes a transport platform coupled to the track, a ride vehicle, and a heave system extending between the transport platform and the ride vehicle. The heave system is configured to heave the ride vehicle relative to the transport platform. The heave system includes an extendible tube defining a variable volume configured to store a gaseous fluid. The extendible tube is configured to extend in response to a lowering of the ride vehicle away from the transport platform by the heave system such that the gaseous fluid within the variable volume of the extendible tube provides a fluid force that biases the extendible tube toward a contracted configuration to assist the heave system with a lifting of the ride vehicle toward the transport platform.

    Abstract: The virtual queue system includes a virtual queue controller comprising a processor and a memory, wherein the memory stores instructions executable by the processor and is configured to receive a request, the request being associated with an individual guest, for a position in a virtual queue of an attraction, assign the individual guest to the position in the virtual queue in response to the request, receive ride schedule data for the attraction comprising information about a change in status of individual rides of the attraction, and determine a wait time for the individual guest for the attraction based at least on the position of the individual guest in the virtual queue, the ride schedule data, and historical guest throughput at the attraction. The virtual queue system is further configured to output a signal to a guest-associated device indicating the wait time for the attraction.
