Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultra high strength steel subjected to hot rolling, cold rolling and galvanising as well. SOLUTION: According to the invention, a cold-rolled, possibly hot dip and galvanised steel sheet is produced with thickness lower than 1 mm, and tensile strength between 800 MPa and 1,600 MPa, while elongation is between 5 and 17%, depending on the process parameters. The composition is such that these high strength levels may be obtained, while maintaining good formability and optimal coating quality after galvanising. The invention is equally related to a hot rolled product of the same composition, with higher thickness (typically about 2 mm) and excellent coating quality after galvanising. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a cross-beam member for reducing or preventing a stress concentration.SOLUTION: A twist-axle includes a cross-beam member and two trailing arms, each trailing arm rigidly secured to the cross-beam member in one of two connection regions of the cross-beam member or integrally formed with and extending from one of the two connection regions. The cross-beam member is formed from a tubular blank 700 and has a torsionally elastic central portion and two torsionally stiff connection regions. The cross-beam member has a wall thickness that varies longitudinally along the length of the cross-beam member from the torsionally elastic central portion to each of the torsionally stiff connection regions.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel composition intended to be used in a process comprising a cold rolling step, for the production of uncoated, electro-galvanized or hot dip galvanized TRIP steel products; a method for producing the steel products; and the steel products.SOLUTION: While limiting the maximal Si and Al contents, phosphorus is added in a level higher than that of conventional technology. Phosphorus is added for accomplishing desired mechanical characteristics (high tensile strength combined with high elongation) while maintaining a good weldability by sufficiently decreasing carbon content.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strip made of a high-manganese steel obtained by a method of more rapidly, and inexpensively producing the same than heretofore. SOLUTION: A thin strip made of the iron-carbon-manganese alloy and having a thickness of 1.5 to 10 mm is cast directly on a casting machine from a molten metal comprising, by weight, 0.001-1.6% C, 6-30% Mn, ≤10% Ni, 16-30% (Mn+Ni), ≤2.5% Si, ≤6% Al, ≤10% Cr, ≤0.2% (P+Sn+Sb+As), ≤0.5% (S+Se+Te), ≤3% (V+Ti+Nb+B+Ta+Zr+rare earths), ≤0.5% (Mo+W), ≤0.3% N, ≤5% Cu, and the balance being iron and impurities resulting from the smelting.
