    Abstract: A door module for a vehicle lavatory, the door module comprising: a wall that includes a door opening defined therein, and a bi-fold door positioned in the door opening and moveable between a closed position and an open position. The bi-fold door includes a first panel and a second panel each having an inner surface and an outer surface and pivotably connected together by a living hinge. The living hinge includes a hinge member that extends between first and second securing members, wherein the first securing member extends along and is attached to an inner edge of the first panel and the second securing member extends along and is attached to an inner edge of the second panel. The hinge member includes opposite edges, wherein the first and second securing members each include an elongated groove defined therein, wherein the elongated grooves capture the opposite edges of the hinge member. An outer edge of the first panel includes a first nesting member thereon. An inner edge of the wall adjacent the outer edge of the first panel includes a second nesting member thereon. At least a portion of the first and second nesting members overlap in a transverse direction when the bi-fold door is in the closed position. An outer paddle handle is secured to and extends outwardly from the first panel such that it overlaps at least a portion of the wall. An inner paddle handle is secured to the second panel and overlaps at least a portion of the first panel.

    Abstract: An overhead storage bin assembly configured to be positioned in the interior of an aircraft. The overhead storage bin assembly comprises first and second posts configured to be secured to a floor of the aircraft, and an overhead bin housing supported by the first and second posts. The overhead bin housing includes at least a first overhead storage bin, whereby when the overhead storage bin assembly is positioned in the interior of an aircraft, the first overhead storage bin is positioned generally above a passenger seat. The overhead bin housing includes a second overhead storage bin positioned on one side of the first overhead storage bin and a third overhead storage bin positioned on the opposite side of the first overhead storage bin. When the overhead storage bin assembly is positioned in the interior of an aircraft, the first, second and third storage bins face forward.

    Abstract: An aircraft storage bin comprising an upper housing that includes first and second side panels. The first and second side panels each include a bottom edge. A bucket cooperates with the upper housing to define a bin interior. The bucket is pivotally connected to the upper housing and pivots about a pivot axis with respect to the upper housing between an open position and a closed position. The bucket includes a bottom and first and second side walls. The first and second side walls each include a top edge and first and second latch assemblies. The first latch assembly includes a first hook portion and a first striker portion. One of the first hook portion and the first striker portion extends downwardly from the bottom edge of the first side panel or upwardly from the first side wall of the bucket. The other of the first hook portion and the first striker portion is positioned in a first recess defined in the top edge of the first side wall of the bucket or the bottom edge of the first side panel. The second latch assembly includes a second hook portion and a second striker portion. One of the second hook portion and the second striker portion extends downwardly from the bottom edge of the first side panel or upwardly from the second side wall of the bucket. The other of the second hook portion and the second striker portion is positioned in a first recess defined in the top edge of the first side wall of the bucket or the bottom edge of the first side panel.

    Abstract: A fastener system that includes a female fastener assembly with a housing having a channel defined therein and a switch member movable within the channel between removing and fastening positions. The switch member includes a receiver portion having a post opening defined therein and a switch portion. The housing includes a lower opening. The post opening includes a removing portion that is aligned with the lower opening when the switch member is in the removing position and a fastening portion that is aligned with the post opening when the switch member is in the fastening position. The system also includes a male fastener assembly having a post with a slot therein.
