Abstract:
The present invention relates to a syringe-shaped culture tube which has a wide surface area and is changeable by a user to a desirable size, and a cell culture apparatus in which plural culture tubes are mounted. The cell culture apparatus allows the culture medium to constantly and smoothly contact the entire inner circumference of the culture tube and rotate by a rotation unit at a preset speed when the culture tube is filled with the culture medium. Thus, the cell culture apparatus can promote stirring and gas supply and increase the gas exchange rate. Also, the cell culture apparatus can reduce consumption of the culture medium. The cell culture apparatus according to the present invention comprises: the culture tube with culture space therein, wherein a vent hole in which the culture medium flows in and out of the culture tube is formed at one or both ends thereof and the inner diameter gradually tapers toward the outside at the other end; a rotation support member with plural culture tubes horizontally mounted in a longitudinal direction that rotates around a rotation shaft formed at the center; and a rotation unit for rotating the rotation support member around the rotation shaft.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cell culture apparatus. The cell culture apparatus improves productivity of cells through an automated system for serial operations from initial culture to cultured cell extraction. The culture is performed in a glove box so a user can easily observe the cell culture apparatus. Additionally, the cell culture apparatus can reduce contamination during cell culturing. The cell culture apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a cell culture device which contains a culture medium therein and in which plural culture tubes for culturing cells are mounted; a rotation unit which rotates the cell culture device in order for the culture medium to flow along the inner wall of the culture tube; an injection device for injecting cells or culture medium into the culture tube; and an extraction device for extracting culture medium from the culture tube.
