    Abstract: A mobile self-propelled apparatus for automatically progressively sandblasting over a surface, of the type having a platform upon which is mounted a swinging boom arm having a head at the end thereof to support a sandblasting nozzle. The swinging boom arm is mounted on a drive wheel driven by a first pneumatic cylinder for movement about the axis of the arm. A second pneumatic cylinder operates to cause the platform to move a predetermined distance on a supporting surface. Pneumatic control means are associated with the first and second pneumatic cylinder means so that the swinging of the arm is synchronized as desired with the movement of the platform.

    Abstract: 203,362. Robinson, W. D., and Young, G. G. April 11, 1922. Siphon-discharge waterwaste preventers. - The siphon-bell 1 is formed with passages 6 the lower ends of which are adapted to register with holes 7 in an upstanding cylinder 3. To start the siphon the bell is raised until the bottom is above the holes 7 and then allowed to fall. Alternatively, the bell may be of the usual form and pierced with holes to register with the holes 7. An outer ring 8 with V-shaped notches in its lower edges is attached as shown to the bell.

Table games. - In an apparatus for playing table bowls of the kind wherein the table has a channel to limit the field of play the table is formed of hinged sections reinforced along the hinge line. As shown, the table is made in two sections hinged together along the line 8, 8, Fig. 1, and has a channel 9 around the playing area. The bowls are directed along the table by means of an inclined shoot 12 positioned upon a mat 13. Each section of the table is provided on the underside with a number of bars 15, Fig. 2, which overlap the hinge line and strengthen the joint when the table is opened out. Collapsable legs 14 are provided. The bowls are distinguished and identified by means of differently-coloured discs let into their surfaces.

[Class 104 (ii)] [Also in Group XIV] A railway for supporting curtains whereby bends or bays may be negotiated, comprises lengths of straight tubing 1 slotted at 2 on the underside, bent slotted tube sections 1a shaped at the ends 1b for ready connection to the straight tubes, rollers 14 arranged within the tubes and U-shaped brackets 3 for supporting the tubes both at the ends and intermediately. The tubing is provided with a strengthening rib 1c and the arcuate lengths 1a are expanded at 1b to take over the ends of the tubes 1, channels being provided to take the ribs 1c, The runners 14 comprise a pair of semicircular rollers one having a sleeve and the other a pin passing into the sleeve, which forms a bearing for a hanger 17 which may comprise a metal strip as shown or, for heavier curtains, a depending pin carrying a loose vertical roller or sleeve which bears on the edges of the slot to minimize friction. The end brackets comprise metal strips cranked at 6 to take a valance bracket 8 and bent at 11 to embrace the rod. A lug 13 bent downwards from the part 11 is apertured for a tape or cord attached to the curtain. The ends of the tube length 1 may be bent to slide into the end of an arcuate length 1a. Fig. 7 shows a switch whereby curtains may be slid selectively along two branches of slotted tubing connected by arcuate lengths 19, 20, e.g. for partitioning off hairdressers' establishments, comprising a pivoted bar 22 operated by a knob 23 to close one branch slot 20a and open the other. Selection of the branches 19, 20 when the curtain is being moved in the direction of the arrow A is effected by a pointed arm 21 operated by a lug 25 on the bar 22 engaging a notch 26 in the arm. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 18743/12, [Class 104 (ii)].
