Abstract:
An electronic software distribution (ESD) method is provided for digitally distributing a software application. The method starts by receiving a set of user data, and then generates from the user data a digital hardware signature having a hardware identification attribute. The digital hardware signature is then appended to a software application to generate a software application package. The digital hardware signature assures that the software application package is fully executable only on a hardware device having a matching hardware identification attribute.
Abstract:
A method for digital rights management is provided. The method is used for managing the right to use a digital software application having a main code component including application code and data resources. The method generates a security component including a hardware identification attribute and appends the security component to the main code component to form a software application package. When the software application package is installed on a hardware device, the security component enables the software application only if the hardware identification attribute is also present in the hardware device.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for converting an image of a high dynamic range into an image of a low dynamic range. SOLUTION: The method for converting a high dynamic range image into a low dynamic range image comprises a process (a) for converting a first luminance value corresponding to a pixel into a second luminance value having a second luminance range smaller than the first luminance range of the first luminance value and a process (b) for mapping the second luminance value corresponding to the pixel to a plurality of third luminance values and generating a low dynamic range image by utilizing a film duplication function in which a visual effect is not attached to the low dynamic range image. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reconstructing an enhanced-resolution image with improved super-resolution algorithms, which is based on an iterative method and employs initial interpolation, robust image registration, automatic image selection, and further image enhancement post-processing. SOLUTION: The method can quickly achieve the reconstruction of an enhanced-resolution image not only by low-resolution image sequences associated with a moving object but also by low-resolution image sequences associated with a stationary scene. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for switching SIM cards. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a storage, a receiver, a processor and a switch. The storage stores a plurality of internal ID codes and each of internal ID codes identifies one direct service provider of SIM cards. The receiver identifies one of service providers. The processor compares a received ID code with each of internal codes. When the received ID code is recognized as a direct provider of SIM cards, the switch changes over the SIM card to one of SIM cards having the correspondent ID code.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic time revising method that enables a mobile telephone to automatically revise the time depending on the country when the mobile telephone makes an international communication. SOLUTION: The automatic time revising method is for automatically revising time into a time of a country, a memory 11 of the mobile telephone includes a database for storing the time of each country in the world. Since the database has a comparison table between the time differences of each country in the world and telephone systems, when a central processing unit 13 of the mobile telephone discriminates that the telephone system of a connection destination differs from the telephone system of the connection source, the central processing unit 13 reads the time difference and the country from the database on the basis of a preset time depending on the connection destination telephone system, updates the original time setting into the time of the country depending on the confirmed time difference and displays the result on the monitor 15 of the mobile telephone. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To choose a better and more economic approach for connecting a portable communication device such that the cost of communication can be reduced. SOLUTION: An apparatus and a method for communication processing are disclosed. The apparatus includes a network connecting unit, a wireless connection unit, and a processing unit. The network connecting unit is for use in connecting with Internet and communicating a first communicating signal with the Internet. The wireless connecting unit is for use in connecting with a portable communication device and communicating a second communicating signal with the portable communication device through a first communicating connection or a second communicating connection. The processing unit is used for converting the first communicating signal into the second communicating signal and vice versa. When a communication request is received by the communication processing apparatus, an available or a stable communicating connection can be established, such that the possible interruption of the communication can be avoided and the cost of communication is also reduced. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time change method for communication equipment by which a setting time can immediately be changed even in use for any area and the time needs not be set again according to a time difference. SOLUTION: The global positioning system and a communication system of the communication equipment are matched to each other. A memory of the communication equipment stores data cross-reference table for each time area. After the communication equipment is set by a time of a permanent resident position, the global positioning system is utilized to determine the longitude and the latitude coordinates of the permanent resident position and its location. Then a CPU searches a difference of time corresponding to the permanent resident position and the location according to the cross reference table on the basis of the longitude and latitude coordinates of the permanent resident position and its location. Then the time substantially set to the communication equipment is updated to the time of the location according to the difference of the time.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery circuit board which is provided with a connector and an output terminal possible to change their positions and to change relative positions of the connector and the output terminal by connecting the connector to the output terminal by a connection element. SOLUTION: The battery circuit board has the connector possible to change the position and is provided with a battery 11, a connector 15 electrically connected to an electronic device and to correspond to a connector of the electronic device and the output terminal 14 to output power of the battery through the battery circuit board possible to change the position. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dialing method for a mobile phone capable of easily making dialing to other areas. SOLUTION: A memory configures a database, which saves a cross-reference list of a phone system including such data as international codes of international phone service company of each country and data of all recipients in a telephone directory. When a CPU judges that a linked hone system differs from a substantial phone system, the CPU reads a substitute code and an international code of a corresponding network company from the database on the basis of the linked phone system. Then the substitute code and the international code of the corresponding network company are automatically added to a part between a telephone number of a recipient and displays the result on a display device. Thus, a user can use the mobile phone to easily make dialing to other areas.
