Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable frequency signal generator and a variable frequency signal generating method which provide a light source of two wavelengths in which an interval between oscillation wavelengths changes due to strain, and creates a signal of a frequency corresponding to the interval between the oscillation wavelengths by beating two light signals of respective wavelengths.SOLUTION: A variable frequency signal generator includes: a light source creating a light signal; a resonator into which the light signal by the light source is input; a structure deformable due to strain; a first optical fiber grid which is disposed on the structure, is transparent to the light signal in a wavelength band including a first wavelength and a second wavelength, and is optically connected to the resonator; a second optical fiber grid which is optically connected to the resonator and filters out the light signal of the first wavelength and the second wavelength; and a photoelectric transducer which is optically connected to the resonator and creates a signal of a frequency corresponding to an interval between the first wavelength and the second wavelength. The interval between the first wavelength and the second wavelength accords to a degree of deformation of the structure.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for extracting cobalt from cathode active material for lithium battery with a simpler process at a lower cost than conventional methods.SOLUTION: The method for recovering cobalt from cathode active material for lithium battery according to the present invention comprises: electrolyzing sulfuric acid solution saturated with sulfurous acid gas to produce dithionite ions; and reducing cobalt in the cathode active material for lithium battery with the dithionite ions.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method of reconstituting a three-dimensional shape on the basis of a single captured image.SOLUTION: The apparatus of constituting a three-dimensional shape comprises: an illumination unit which illuminates an object with light having plural different illumination source points; an optical modulation device which modulates light having passed through the object to regular patterns in a spatial region; an imaging unit which captures an image modulated by the optical modulation device, as a sheet of two-dimensional image; and a signal processing unit which separates a unit image, by each illumination source point, from the sheet of two-dimensional image captured by the imaging unit, and reconstitutes the three-dimensional shape of the object from the separated unit images.

The method of screening a candidate material for preventing or treating the degenerative brain disease may effectively screen a prophylactic or therapeutic material for the degenerative brain disease. Thereby, a variety of degenerative brain diseases may be effectively prevented or treated using the pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating the degenerative brain disease.
