A device for shaping a plurality of an object with a profile of at least partial sphere defined by a radius, R sph and a maximum depth, D max of the sphere comprises a shaft set rotate-able on a primary axis and at least one cutting element fabricated on attachment apparatus. Each cutting element has been shaped with at least a portion of circular cutting edge with a uniform radius, r CE , is able to spinning-able on a secondary axis and revolts on a circular orbit around the primary axis. The orbit of each cutting element is defined as a motion track of a circular center of the cutting edge around the primary axis and characterized by a radius, r orb and a tilted angle thereof.

An object identification device identifying an image region of an identification target includes an imaging unit receiving two polarization lights and imaging respective polarization images, a brightness calculation unit dividing the two polarization images into processing regions and calculating a brightness sum value between the two polarizations images for each processing region, a differential polarization degree calculation unit calculating a differential polarization degree for each processing region, a selecting condition determination unit determining whether the differential polarization degree satisfies a predetermined selecting condition, and an object identification processing unit specifying the processing region based on the differential polarization degree or the brightness sum value depending on whether the predetermined selecting condition is satisfied and identifying plural processing regions that are specified as the processing regions as the image region of the identification target.

An ion trap mobility spectrometer calibration system and method wherein the maximum response of the spectrometer is determined. A quantity Q 0 is chosen representing a response which is a predetermined percentage of the maximum response. Input to the ion trap mobility spectrometer are at least two known quantities Q 1 and Q 2 of an analyte, which have a predetermined relationship with Q 0 . The responses corresponding to R 1 and R 2 of the ion trap mobility spectrometer are observed based on the respective inputs of quantities Q 1 and Q 2 . R 1 , R 2 , and Q 1 and Q 2 are then used to calculate the calibration constants in an equation describing a curve where the response of the ion trap mobility spectrometer is a function of the quantity of the analyte input therein. The calculated calibration constants are input to thereafter determine, from the response, the quantity of a detected analyte based on the equation.
