Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container in such a manner that a seal between a lid and the container has an uneven adhesion along the overall length thereof. SOLUTION: The blow-molded plastic container can have a flange section 20 enclosing the opening at the top and the flexible membrane lid 14, which is attached to the flange section as the seal. The seal between the membrane lid and the container has the uneven adhesion along the overall length thereof. Particularly, since the seal has at least a part of reduced width thereof, the part of the seal is of a poorer adhesion than those of the other parts. As a result, the lid can be relatively easily peeled off from the container at the part of the seal of poor adhesion. However, the seal can have a relatively strong adhesion resistant to the accidental peeling-off of the lid as a whole. Once the peeling-off of the lid is initiated, it is relatively easier to completely peel the lid off. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the amount of expensive high-strength materials in a wound tube without lowering the strength of the tube. SOLUTION: A multi-layer tube 40, whose layers are wound in a spiral pattern or convolute pattern, includes one or more plies or layers 14 having an embossment part 42. The embossment part is projected from one or both sides of each ply or layer, and the embossment part is increased in the effective thickness and volume without any increase in mass. The embossment part abuts on the adjacent plies or layers 12, 16 of the tube, and the adjacent plies and layers can be disposed at a space from an embossed ply or layer between the embossment parts, thereby forming a vacant space 44 in the tube wall. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a conventional laminate for packaging a gum causes a trouble with lubricant flow and the manufacturing cost for the conventional laminate is high. SOLUTION: The laminate for packaging a gum is composed of a metallic layer, a polymer layer, a paper layer and an electron beam-cured coating film and exhibits shut-off properties equal to or better than the conventional laminate for packaging a gum. In addition, the laminate has a lubricant added to the electron beam-cured coating film by chemical reaction, so that a metallic foil, the polymer layer, the paper layer and an electron beam-cured layer are laminated in that order.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container having a high-barrier liner comprising a metallized film oriented towards an interior of the container by a metal layer facing inside. SOLUTION: The high barrier liner for a composite container for products comprises a tubular body member comprising at least one paper board body ply having an inner surface. The composite container further comprises a liner ply adhered to the inner surface of the tubular body member. The liner ply comprises a metallized film disposed between inner and outer sealant layers. The metallized film comprises a polymer film substrate and a vapor-deposited metal layer on one surface of the substrate. The metallized film is advantageously orientated such that the metal layer of the metallized film faces towards the interior of the composite container. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a venting container that quickly exhausts steam after an initial cooking cycle and cooks crisper, fresh and more valuable food products. SOLUTION: The cooker has a tubular body portion having at least one open end and a cap engaged with the open end. The cap has an upper end and a lower end defining an intermediate area between them. The tubular body portion and the cap are partially sealed by a friction force produced from a boundary between protrusions arranged in both the tubular body portion and the cap, facing each other and radially extended. The friction forces are opposite to each other and finally overcome by a steam pressure produced from the interior of the container and consequently moved from a closed position to an exhausting position. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-function (start, joining) structure capable of assisting the joining of webs to each other and also assisting the start of a winding process. SOLUTION: The rear end parts of the webs are stuck to a winding core through a two-component structure having a core component stuck on the core and a web component stuck on the web. These two components are releasably stuck on each other. This structure assists the start of winding, and when the winding is completed, the web component is released from the core component, and the area of an adhesive agent on a part of the web component extending from the rear end part of the web is exposed. Thus, the rear end part can be joined to the front end part by sticking the front end part of the other web to the exposed adhesive agent of the web component. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress that junction becomes strong to a degree to which the mating section of an ionomer heat seal material used for sealing becomes difficult to remove a film closure from a metal end section due to aging. SOLUTION: The container 10 is provided with a container body 100 with an top opening which is demarcated is surrounded by a seal face and a closure 30 to be sealed on the seal face with a heat seal material containing a blend of two kinds of acidic ionomers having a high acid content and a low acid content and thereby having an intermediate acid content in the acid contents of the two kinds of ionomers. The heat seal finally formed by this heat seal material has an oil resistance and an age-up (enhanced adhesion) which are well balanced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring about illegal opening evidence capacity.SOLUTION: A flexible packing laminate has an opening-resealing feature part and an illegal opening evidence feature part by forming a laminate from an outside structure 10 oppositely joined to an inside structure 42. An outside fragile line 52 and an inside fragile line 62 are formed in both structures for forming an opening in the laminate by lifting a flap from a surface of the laminate. A notch line of the outside structure defines the opening larger than a notch line of the inside structure, and thereby, a peripheral area of the outside structure extends beyond the edge of an opening part of the inside structure. The peripheral area is stuck again to a surface positioned under the inside structure adjacent to the opening of the laminate by using a pressure sensitive adhesive 20. The outside fragile line 52 has at least one breaking-up part. This breaking-up part is broken up in initial opening, and thereby, indicates that a packing container is at least partially opened.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scooping device capable of providing an anti-theft feature to a container, without interfering with the construction of the container. SOLUTION: In a scooping device with an integrated EM (electromagnetic) surveillance device, a container defines an interior for storing a product, the scooping device is configured to scoop or capture the product, the electromagnetic surveillance device is integrated with, embedded in or attached to the body of the scooping device. The electromagnetic surveillance device may be an EAS, Bistatix, RFID, or other EM surveillance tags or EM surveillance labels configured to respond to an electromagnetic signal so as to make itself detectable. Detectability of the electromagnetic surveillance device allows the scooping device to provide an anti-theft feature to the container, without interfering with construction of the container. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin and long extruded corner post (10) made of a plastic material for protecting a packaged product. SOLUTION: This thin and long extruded corner section post made of the plastic material includes an external wall (44), an internal wall (42), a longitudinal direction rib (52) which is integrally formed with the external wall and the internal wall, and a longitudinal direction bead (54). In this case, the longitudinal direction bead (54) is arranged on one of the internal wall and the external wall, and extends toward a cylindrical space which substantially has an L shape. The bead (54) has a top (58) and is extended between the top (58) and the other of the internal wall and the external wall. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
