Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for correcting computer program output without correcting any source code. SOLUTION: The computer program reads two files, that is, an input data file and a recipe text file. The data input file includes a pair of name and value fed to an output device, and the recipe text file includes a format description. A pair of the data input file name and value is not necessarily arranged according to a required structure. During execution of the program, the format description of the recipe text file is transformed into a series of executable objects. The pair of the name and value from the data input file is fed in a single format complying with the format description. Because of integrated change of the input text file and the recipe text file, an output format is corrected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for delivering a plurality of articles having machine read commodity codes. SOLUTION: A handheld data input device 30 scans a delivery notice 20 and the labels of cargoes 110, 120 to read and store information. Even when the cargoes 110, 120 cannot be delivered, only one delivery notice 20 is left and electronically "linked" with all cargoes 110, 120. Then, a consignee uses information given by the delivery notice 20 to make communication with a delivery service supplier via the Internet 200 (or another proper network) or by telephone. By giving the delivery service supplier the sole information from the delivery notice 20, the consignee obtains information about the cargoes 110, 120 which are not delivered. The information includes the name of a consignor, the number of cargoes 110, 120 from the consignor, a scheduled delivery date, and a payment-on-arrival condition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
