Abstract: An example method for wireless communication includes: receiving, by a user device in a reduced power state, resource information for receiving a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) and tracking reference signal (TRS); exiting the reduced power state to receive the CSI-RS and TRS, based on the resource information; synchronizing with a base station, based on the received CSI-RS and TRS, to receive a downlink control information message; receiving paging information in a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission based on the received downlink control information message; determining whether there is paging information in the first PDSCH transmission for the user device; starting a Random Access Channel (RACH) procedure to make a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection, based on determining that there is paging information for the user device; and returning to the reduced power state, based on determining that there is not paging information for the user device.

Abstract: Features for increasing sounding reference signal (SRS) resource capacity for wireless communications may include introducing a larger comb size with comb hopping, providing support to determine the slot offset and/or comb offset for aperiodic SRS based on downlink control information (DCI) alone or based on both DCI and radio resource control (RRC), applying RB level frequency hopping within an SRS resource across different symbols, and/or applying time domain orthogonal cover code (TD-OCC) to symbols within an SRS resource. The TD-OCC may be applied to SRS for codebook, non-codebook and antenna switching, and may also be applied simultaneously with comb hopping and/or RB level hopping in certain scenarios.

Abstract: Measurement resources are often limited in 5G and 4G-LTE communications. As a result, SMTC and CSI-RS measurement windows will occasionally be assigned to the same resource elements of a signal frame. This results in a collision that must be resolved, since both measurements cannot be performed simultaneously. The collision can be resolved using restriction, where overlapping resource elements are assigned to either the SMTC or the CSI-RS measurements, or can be resolved using measurement sharing, where overlapping resource elements are divided among the two measurements according to a measurement sharing factor. Various factors, including priority or window periodicity may be taken into account by the measurement rules that dictate collision resolution.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and circuitries are provided for performing sidelink communication. An example method indicates a frequency resource reservation in sidelink control information (SCI). The method includes identifying a transport block (TB) for transmission to a UE; determining a total number of sub-channels (N SL) in a resource pool for sidelink communication, a number of sub-channels (L sub) of the TB, a first starting sub-channel index x 1 of a first retransmission of the TB, and a second starting sub-channel index x 2 of a second retransmission of the TB. The method includes determining a frequency resource indication value (FRIV) based on N SL, L SUB, x 1, and x 2, wherein the FRIV represents a result of a predetermined function of L sub, x 1, and x 2 that generates a unique value for possible combinations of L sub, x 1, and x 2. The FRIV is encoded in SCI and the SCI is transmitted to the UE.

The UE receives a positioning reference signal from each of the first and second cells, determines a frequency band for each of the positioning reference signals, determines reference signal time difference (RSTD) values from measured time offsets between the positioning reference signals from the first and second cells, determines RSTD reporting values based on at least the RSTD values and the determined frequency bands and transmits an indication of the RSTD reporting values to the network.
