Filled polyolefin compositions comprising: A) from 20% to 80% by weight of a polypropylene component; B) from 20% to 80% by weight of a filler; wherein the percentages of A) and B) are referred to the sum of A) and B), and A) is selected from the following compositions: a) a polypropylene composition containing from 20% to 80% by weight of a polypropylene fraction A I ) having a Melt Flow Rate value of 500 g/10 min. or more, and from 20% to 80% by weight of a polypropylene fraction A II ) having a Melt Flow Rate value of from 0.1 to 30 g/10 min., the said percentages of A I ) and A II ) being referred to the sum of A I ) and A II ); or b) a polypropylene composition containing from 15% to 72% by weight of a polypropylene fraction A I ) having a Melt Flow Rate value of 500 g/10 min. or more, from 15% to 70% by weight of a polypropylene fraction A11) having a Melt Flow Rate value of from 0.1 to 30 g/10 min. and from 0.5% to 15% by weight of a compatibilizer Q), the said percentages of A I ), A II ) and Q) being referred to the sum of A I ), A II ) and Q).

Polyolefϊn composition for membrane suitable for use in waterproofing applications. In particular, the present invention relates to a membrane for use in geomembranes, for water containment and conveyance, pool liners, rainstorm and fish pond liners, snow lagoons, water and industrial reservoirs, food related lining etc. Such membrane comprises at least one layer comprising an heterophasic composition of olefin polymers and a specified additives package.

Thermoset polyolefin elastomer obtained by static curing with water a silane-grafted thermoplastic heterophasic polyolefin composition (I) having a flexural modulus equal to or lower than 150 MPa, and comprising: (a) a crystalline propylene homopolymer or copolymer of propylene with up to 15% by weight of ethylene or other alpha-olefin comonomer(s), or their combinations, and (b) a copolymer or a composition of copolymers of ethylene with other alpha-olefins containing from 15% by weight to less then 40% by weight of ethylene; said thermoset polyolefin elastomer having a compression set value of from 30 to 65%, a ratio of elongation at break to compression set values of above 8, and hardness shore A values below 90.

A polyolefin nanocomposite material comprising the following components: (A) a crystalline or semi-crystalline polyolefin resin; and (B) a nanosized mineral filler comprising or substantially consisting of a hydrotalcite, wherein the amount of the hydrotalcite is from 0.02 to 6 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the nanocomposite material, and the ratio MFR (1)/MFR (2) of the melt flow rate value MFR (1) of component (A) to the melt flow rate value MFR (2) of the polyolefin nanocomposite material is of at least 1.02, charachterized in that - the said polyolefin nanocomposite material includes a compatibilizer - the dispersion of the mineral filler (B) and compatibilizer in the polyolefin resin is produced at shear mixing rates from 30 to 300 sec -1.

Thermoplastic vulcanizate elastomer obtained by dynamic vulcanization of a heterophasic polyolefin composition in presence of at least (i) an alkenyl-substituted alkoxysilane grafting agent and (ii) water; wherein said heterophasic polyolefin composition has flexural modulus equal to or lower than 150 MPa,and comprises: (a) a crystalline propylene homopolymer or copolymer of propylene with up to 15% of ethylene or other alpha-olefin comonomer(s), or their combinations, and (b) a copolymer or a composition of copolymers of ethylene with other alpha-olefins, containing from 15% to 40% of ethylene, said thermoplastic vulcanizate elastomer having compression set values in the range from 45 -65%, the ratio of elongation at break to compression set values over 10 and hardness shore A values below 90.
